I have stayed at the Woodfield many times. It is convenient. However, the hotel is getting quite dated. The tub and shower in our room, while clean, had rust and iron stains. The carpet was worn. The batteries in the TV remote were old and had leaked acid. The pillows were old and quite flat. There were only two bath towels, and they were quite thin. The hotel used to have in room coffee makers, but they removed those since my last stay. I am an early riser, and the breakfast area doesn’t open until 6:30 a.m. They don’t have a lobby with 24-hour coffee like many hotels now do. I had to drive to McDonalds at 5:30 a.m. to buy coffee. The key cards are worn, and half the time mine didn’t work on the door closest to my room, so then I’d have to walk around to the front door. The saving grace is that staff are very friendly. Although this has been my hotel of choice in Marshfield, I think I’ll be trying another location next trip.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. This hotel is setup for families with kids. Large pool area so forth. Not so much for retired couples.

Our room was near the pool and when we walked into our room the chlorine was so strong we had to open the window and put the fan on to air out the room. The pool water temp was not warm at all and the hot tub was only warm like bath water. There was a birthday party in the pool area when we checked in and when we checked out the next day at 11 am the pool area was still a mess and had not been cleaned from the party the day before.

We like staying here. Slowly remodeling and fixing up rooms. They could use some fresh, newer towels. Towels are looking pretty sad. But price is good, staff are friendly. Always been clean when we have stayed here.
