A great choice if you are visiting Nuevo Progreso

Located just off I-2, and a quick 22 minute journey to the border, Super 8 has become my lodging of choice. The beds are comfortable. The fridge and microwave are always handy. The soap, shampoo, hand and body wash, and moisturizer are great. They use the bottles that are secured to the wall as a more eco-friendly option. You can watch HBO, enjoy the pool or hot tub. They have charging spots for electric vehicles. They have a small store with snacks, candy, drinks, and other incidentals in the lobby. They serve a hot breakfast with sausage, breakfast potatoes, make your own waffles, and more. But if you are in the mood for something else, Chef Cris will make you an omelet or breakfast taco as part of the premium breakfast option. I paid $6 for a really good loaded omelet, made to order. I recommend you give it a try. It might become your go-to lodging as well.

Pull out sofa did not have sheets. A big wad of hair ball was floating around in the room. Not ours. Shower had some hairs on the wall, not the cleanest. Good variety in breakfast. Diabetic friendly. Chef Chris was nice and friendly and attentive. Front desk staff was courteous and friendly. Rooms were not very clean.

It was a nice area can’t complain about that. They just really need to work on the ac units running properly and the cable not working, luckily I have kids that have their tablets so that was ok. Also the room smelt like damp clothes that wasn’t a pleasant smell. If they work on that it would be a awesome place to books
