You will be enjoying peace and serenity while staying in a newer post frame building on 34 rural scenic acres that will accommodate up to 4 guests. Located northwest of McArthur in Vinton County Ohio about 8 miles from Hocking Hills State Park and related attractions. The barn has two separate bedrooms, each with a queen size bed; a living area with reclining sofa, recliner/rocker, big screen TV, blue ray player, and wifi; and a dining area accommodating up to four. The front yard is fenced with a covered porch, picnic table, gas grill and firepit.

There is wildlife throughout the property and you may occasionally catch glimpse of and/or hear whitetail deer, Eastern turkey, coyotes, bobcat, rabbits, and grouse as well as be serenaded by numerous types of birds. The property is managed for wildlife so it's hiking only on the trails (no vehicles) however the area is home to Ohio's largest concentration of ATP (ATV) trails at both state parks and private establishments. Fishing is available at Lake Hope, Lake Rupert, and Lake Alma, all of which are approximately 20 minutes from the property.

The property is thoroughly sanitized and disinfected between guests and as a added health precaution there will be AT LEAST 3 days between each guest stay.

Nice little cabin in a great location to Hocking Hills. Just outside of all the hustle and bustle and only a 20 minute drive or less to most of the attractions. Our only complaint was the cleaning spray they used was very strong, so we aired the cabin out while we were there all weekend. Shower was nice and tall with good water pressure and lots of hot water. The cabin was extremely clean and had hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, tissues, kcups, and coffee filters. We didn't use the little stove, but the mini fridge worked great. The beds are memory foam mattresses that were very comfortable. I texted to get the door code before I left home because I wasn't sure what my phone service would be like when I was an hour away. Bruce answered my questions quickly and gave us lots of good recommendations. We had a great time. Would love to come back and explore more of the area and even just the property the cabin is on. Just a heads up that service is spotty in all of the Hocking hills area after you leave the cabin, so preset your gps for all your stops and screenshot directions.

Wonderfully unique and clean property.

A great place to get away from it all. My friend and I trailered our motorcycles here to explore the Hocking Hills area. Away from the traffic but still close enough for easy day trip of riding. Quiet nights/mornings and a wonderful property to hike/explore. I walked over a mile on the grounds and got my heart rate up for some good exercise. Extremely clean interior and a well-maintained rental. Would love to come back some day.

Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect place for us to stay! It was very clean and cozy. Close to Hocking Hills but away from the crowds. The home had all the conveniences we wanted in a simple, uncluttered way. We were able to access the beauty that is Hocking Hills and relax at this wonderful property. From the gas grill to the outside seating, the adorable kitchen to the cute bedrooms, this is a fabulous little place. Bruce was easy to communicate with, offering tips so we could enjoy the locale. Did I mention how clean and neat it was? We cannot say enough about how happy we were with the accommodations. Thanks for making our weekend getaway fabulous.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a small weekend gateaway. The property itself is beautiful, we wanted something where we were not close to a lot of other people and this was perfect. wonderful little barndominium

Unique barndominium with lots of nice hot water, close to Old Man's Cave, etc., good instructions for check in/out, and cute decor! Owners were great! There is no wifi and TV has a few channels, but we went to enjoy the beautiful leaves, so wasn't a big deal for us. Beautiful property and easily accessible!

Perfect off-grid spot

My friend and I were looking forward to a weekend getaway to hike Hocking Hills. Property is close to the trails had everything needed for a perfect weekend. Fire pit, quiet surroundings and no wi-fi was exactly what we needed. Close to restaurants and gas station if we needed something. Quiet country stay
