Within walking distance of everything. Elevator didn't work right, kept taking me to the wrong floor, even took me to the 4th floor which is completely under renovation. Ended up using stairs the whole 3 days we were there.

This Inn is right on the seafront of the most beautiful view. The space is perfect for a quick recharge before heading out to see all the amazing nature surrounding the area. We even got to see a mother deer and two fawns right outside our door! Truly a magical stay.

This property does what it needs to. A convenient stop for the night. The room was fairly spacious for 3 adults and 1 teenager. We appreciated the microwave too. There was enough parking. It is an older property, although pretty well maintained. There is no air conditioning and although you can keep the windows open, to enjoy the cool sea air, it can be noisy.

Cool thermostat!!

Fiancé and I stayed one night during a weekend trip to Monterey for my birthday. The room was small but clean, you can hear people talking in other rooms but it was manageable. Bathroom was clean, the people at the front desk were kind of rude but we only interacted with them once so it wasn’t too big a deal. Old-fashioned thermostat but it worked super well and was very cool.

unprofessional and run down

Hotel and room was nothing like it looked like in the pictures seen when booking. It was super rundown and outdated. We had a large group of people sitting out in the walkway on lawn chairs making a lot of noise that could be slightly muffled through closing the windows, but that would make the room stuffy since there was only a portable fan and ceiling room for cooling. I immediately wanted to check out and after contacting a rep for hotels.com they told me after speaking with the front desk that I they said I should have told them my complaints before check in? The hotel refused to refund me since I had been in the room for more than 15 minutes (while I talked to a rep and booked a different hotel to stay at). After I personally talked to the front desk to ask for a refund because of the condition and deceptive images online again they told me it was policy to not issue refunds after 15min; when I asked where this policy was written he said it wasn’t. He also said he was aware of the people out in the hallways, but “knew them” since he was friends with him I guess that meant it wasn’t a problem. He tried to keep arguing with me that none of the issues with the property were a big deal. Overall unprofessional staff and lackluster hotel that I would suggest not booking. The only appeal here is it being close to the water and other tourists spots. Pros don’t outweigh the cons especially for the price.

Checked in , got the room and it was terrible and than we left for a few hours, can back and they gave our room to someone else and all of our stuff was in the room , the guest opened our room, and they where honest and did not take our stuff , went back and said to the office that room is taken , we got new keys and than our tv did not work and they tried to fix it but did not , I recommend not staying there , it was a terrible experience, the under ground parking was terrible ,

Affordability Across from Lovers Point

A great affordable option across the street from Lovers Point! The place is old, but freshly painted inside and clean. I do wish the bed wasn't so hard. That is why it's just good. But for the money, clean sheets and a hot shower, and walk out across the street to the Point? I'll go back.

Had a room on second floor with ocean view. Like that there was a table and 2 chairs, did not have to sit on bed. Had to wait awhile for staff at check in. No one around at check out. Parking spaces under building are very tight and 1 entrance closed so had to back all the way out. Not easy.

My first gripe was that the photos definitely don’t match the experience. This is more of a low budget motel masquerading as a romantic inn. The room itself was more travelodge than it was a lover’s paradise. Mismatched furniture, the bathroom fixtures were old Formica and I’m very certain the carpeting around the bathroom sink was damp. There is no AC but rather a ceiling fan and another fan in the corner (as advertised - I did read before booking) but I wasn’t able to leave the windows open for the ocean breeze due to the noisy neighbors and a lack of staff onsite to monitor the quiet hours. It was an okay room but definitely overpriced. I would not recommend - so sorry!

Great views if you get a room on the 3rd floor. Limited parking. Basement parking very difficult. Limited dining in immediate area for families. Rooms very hot w/no swamp or AC. Heater always on. Had to have door, windows, ceiling fan open/on a lot.

Our second time staying at this motel. It’s really not a “Hotel” it is a decent place to stay. It’s conveniently located for us. We cycle and run so it’s a great location. If you’re a runner and cyclists, it’s perfect. The parking can be a challenge. There is a restaurant across the street but it doesn’t open until 5pm. There are plenty of other options within a 10 minute walk. Rooms are a little outdated but I slept well enough. I would definitely stay here again even though my review doesn’t seem like I enjoyed my stays here. But in reality it’s just average.
