Almost amazing. The air conditioner did not stay on through the night making it warm in the room. We woke up frequently to adjust the temperature. Bath towel had someone else’s hair on it.

Quick golf trip.

The front desk person seemed to have no clue what she was doing. Our room was not ready when we arrived then 2 mins later we get a text it was. We went back to the desk she said it was a mistake. She then found a different room that was open told us the room number gave us keys for a different room than what she told us. Very messy and confusing. Other than that the hotel was fantastic.

Not great. Deadbolt didn’t work. It was reported along with the broken phone. We were told someone would come to fix them but they didn’t. High priced but not great.

Really nice hotel . The bed and the pillow is super comfortable. I slept very well during the stay . Their breakfast is much better than typical continental breakfast. Lots selections ! The staff is very friendly too ! My kids loved it too and we will stay there again next time when we go to Monterey !

It is conveniently close to shopping, making it ideal for kids/mom spend some time. Breakfast option hotels are favorite for parents with kids, only complaint is it is 6:30-9:00. If you are on vacation, it is not an excuse to sleep a little longer. Shift by an hour and nobody would complain. This is common for many Marriot hotels and hate this policy. Staff was kind enough to keep breakfast until 9:30. Specific to this hotel, it is so inconvenient that you need to walk extra to head to shopping. There isn’t any stairs that could take you to street easily. Walk up the plants, which clearly is shortcut many attempted. Rooms are great, but the layout is not convenient. Big desk to split the room, making TV at a weird spot. Without desk, or regular wall facing desk room would feel more comfortable. Another interesting fact about our room, there was interesting sequential tap sound on wall and kept me up for 2h until I sleep again. We had to use white noise to distract ourselves. Next day staff was kind to offer another room close to old one. Maybe it was AC,or something, no idea. Rooms that face parking lot, it is not worthy. Even worse they get noisy during day time as some truck would do delivery and noise for easy 30m. Pool is great but not a warm one even for being indoor, smaller than regular pool you would like and gets crowded with few families quickly.Gym was great. Staff is great, to make our stay more convenient, some minor things but overall great hotel& location

Spacious, clean, friendly staff, and breakfast is always good. My only concern would be the parking, which isnt a big issue. If you arent there early enough, you might have to park on the street; however, it does beat paying $40 for parking.

The room layout was a bit odd. The tv on the wall was between the bedroom and living room so not a good vantage point for either. Very dark room with not much lighting. Bed was so so. Check in person was not friendly at all. Breakfast was the usual.

Wonderful location and Staff

The location is fantastic and so are the staff. Well maintained lobby and grounds. The rooms are starting to show some general wear, nothing horrible, just typical corners and edges being worn down or dinged. The couch/bed was gross. It was heavily stained in our room. The only other problem was the AC unit. It is to small for the size of the room and not placed well. The person sleeping next to the unit is the only one getting hot or cold air, the futher from it you get the bigger the temperature difference and it had a musty smell the entire time. A newer unit or some cleaning and maintenance would fix it.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here with my family and it is a great little place to stay when visiting Monterey and the surrounding areas. There is an REÍ, Target, and Starbucks across the street so we can stop and get anything we need. It is also easily accessible from the 1. My only complaint this last time we stayed was that there was a screaming child in one of the rooms on our floor and in the middle of the night I was woken up by someone stomping repeatedly across their room on the floor above us. However this is more to do with the discourtesy of the other guests than anything to do with the hotel itself. I would definitely stay here again (hopefully without overly loud other guests).
