Valley Heat Get Away

Friendly, clean and great location ! Staff was super friendly. only complaint was the floor above us. The guest sounded like they were marching all night long The heavy foot steps walked from one end of the room to the other until 2:30 AM for 2 days.

I had a terrible night sleep here- the rooms were decent but the location is right behind a gas station on a busy intersection- Im not sure if they were people staying at the Stevenson's or homeless people walking around but they were super loud, jumping in the pool after midnight and walking around the balcony areas yelling so loudly. About every two hours, I awoke to loud male voices from 11 pm to 4 am.

I have stayed here over five times because it is within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Alvarado Street. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it is a little noisy with vehicle traffic. But for the price, this is my favorite place to stay in Monterey.

The staff was very friendly and informative. The room was clean and hotel was close to everything. Beds were very comfy. The walls seemed thin as you can hear everything outside and in the employee room next to us. The tv worked fine but was fairly small for a hotel room. Shower doors were missing a seal and water leaked out on the sides.
