The restaurants in the mall were disappointing. I also found navigating the casino and restaurants to be difficult. Signage was lacking, and the map was hard to read.That is not your responsibility, but that is my experience from the stay. Otherwise, your hotel was very clean, well staffed, and comfortable!

Worst hotel experience ever-only good was Kane!

We stayed for one weekend and paid over $2000 for a king size room that was smaller than my bedroom, and a bathroom that had a tub worse than my own. I was shocked that the sky tower was such a dump for the amount of money Paid. The only good thing about the trip was we had front row seats for Kane Brown. If we didn’t have front row seats, the entire weekend would’ve been a waste because those are the only good seats in the entire arena. If you’re gonna get floor seats, don’t get anything Behind front row cause you won’t see anything. You’re better off getting loge. SERIOUSLY. The staff was rude and that’s the first time I’ve ever stayed at Mohegan. I’ve gone two dozen times and stayed down the street and taking a shuttle and it’s always been a much nicer hotel for a quarter of the price. Don’t stay at the casino! It’s not worth the money at all. You used to have to worry about shuttle buses but now you can take an Uber whenever you want a mile down the road. I wish more than anything that we did that. I have a list of people that are getting complaints to management. The amount of money that I paid I don’t expect to be treated like a piece of white trash. Do not stay here! There’s a Marriott down the street for a quarter of the price that is so much nicer than any room in the sky zone unless you pay $2000 for a suite per night. Be smart! Get a better room and take a six dollar Uber!

My experience at the Mohegan Sun Hotel during the NERSC annual conference was incredibly frustrating. Upon check-in, I encountered chaos; the front desk attendant left to check my reservation and took a long time to return. When she finally did, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled by the conference organizers, which was impossible since I had received confirmation the day before. Despite my insistence, the staff claimed they tried to contact the organizer but got no response. Frustrated, I called her myself, and she confirmed my reservation on the first try. This situation could have been resolved swiftly if they had simply checked their records properly. To make matters worse, I had booked a second room out of my own pocket, but they attempted to charge me $350 for it, despite my pre-payment two days prior. It felt insulting when they questioned how many rooms were under the organization’s credit card, insinuating that I was being dishonest. Throughout the ordeal, the lack of empathy and customer service was shocking—there were no apologies or offers to assist. Given this experience, I will recommend that the NERSC leadership team reconsider Mohegan Sun as a host for future conferences. Their hospitality fell far short of expectations, and it was disappointing to say the least.
