Check in was really slow. There was a long line waiting to be checked in and only one person working the desk trying to handle the line and people coming down with questions about their room. He was however professional and doing the best he could.

The Alice Hotel has limited food options but there are plenty around and the location is ideal. 5 mins walk distance to the beach, but you need to bring your umbrellas. They provide bicycles and you can ride them in the golf course around the corner. I really recommend it. The bed were comfortable.

Pet fee of $100 was unexpected. Floor of room was covered with sand. 2 dispensers in the shower were empty. Pet waste can outside was overflowing to the ground. The bed was quite comfortable.

Can't beat the location and price. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Beach is just steps away. Plenty of space in the lobby/bar to gather. Family friendly with bikes to use to get around the island.

Loved the location, loved the service, loved the price. I wish there were better breakfast options and a bigger dining area. The rooms need to be updated a bit too - the doorknobs wiggled, the toilet roll was falling off, the AC was ridiculously loud. However, the beds were really comfy and we had everything we needed. Would definitely return.

Overall I really liked the hotel. They have some nice modern features. You can see the ocean from the front rooms. I was on the 4th floor so it had a nice little peekaboo view. The beds were really not comfortable. I had brought my own pillow, and very glad I did! I liked that the sink is not in the same room with the toilet and shower - it's right outside, so actually in the bedroom. I liked it because it's not easy to get your hair dry and put on makeup in a steamy bathroom. I also don't know why but like a few other hotels I have stayed in, by the time I got halfway through my shower I was standing in water in the tub. Not sure why it's so hard to get those things to drain! The room had a frig, a microwave and a little sink in the kitchenette. There was a sectional couch. It is convenient to walk to the beach. Just to the left of the hotel entrance there is a crosswalk...then a short walk down the wooden boardwalk to the beach. They had a hose to clean off your feet when you returned. The pool had some nice lounge chairs and a few of those round partially covered loungers that are really cool. The front sitting area is also nice. I thought the staff was very friendly and accomodating. They have bikes to ride, but I didn't get a chance to do that. The elevators were very fast, although a little stuffy. I spent a nice few days at the beach! I would stay here again.

Better on the Internet

Bed was great, place is much ilder than it looks on Internet. Told them of a few problems with hotel, old towel left in the room, noisy loud neighbor, they thanked us for the info, didn’t do anything to court us as future guests. We may go back to Atlantic Beach, but not Hotel Alice.

I love this hotel! Returning customer and will return again. Perfect location to beach access and the staff is super friendly. Only negative is the cleaning, they definitely need to step up the room service.
