Was a perfect overnight stop. Room was so comfortable and lodgey feeling. Didn't just look clean is WAS CLEAN ! Staff was so friendly. The morning bagged breakfast to take on the road was a nice touch.

We had a fully updated room. It was great! Larger fridge than normal. Bag breakfast was nice to have. Overall a great stay!

Everyone was nice. BUT while getting a drink at the hotel bar we encountered the rudest bartender EVER! We asked for a Mai Tai drink and you would have thought we had asked him for his first child born! He said In a manner that was straight out of central casting for rude bartenders, “we don’t make Mai Tais! We are a small bar in a small town, no one in Mt Shasta makes them”. My wife and I only drink while vacationing. We are grandparents who babysit our grandchildren five days a week. This was our weekend to have a drink. So, we said fine, we will look elsewhere. He became Nathan Lane (A striking resemblance) sarcastic! He went into a rant about Mt Shasta being a small mountain town, and that no bar in town was stupid enough to keep all the ingredients for a Mai Tai drink around and let it rot, when only a few people order them. You can be rude to me, but don’t mess with my WIFE! I got mad and called him an assh_le! He went into damage control and bought our drinks. I will turn 70 this year and have been to many establishments in my time. But I have NEVER been waited on by such a blatantly rude person! The fact that management allows this type of behavior from their staff, is intolerable! We will NEVER go there again! Note to weary travelers who would like a GREAT drink, Mt. Shasta does have Mai Tais, just not at this establishment.

A charming mountain inn. I loved how the inn was built with keeping the redwoods in mind. Some of the inn was literally built around the redwoods. The rooms were cozy and clean. The bar and restaurant were great and wonderful coffee was a short 2 minute walk from the inn.

This was a nice hotel with clean and spacious rooms. We were pleasantly impressed by the “kitchenette” as it was a full blown kitchen! It was great! Conveniently located near the freeway, restaurants, and a grocery store.

The Shasta Inn was very clean, easy check in, and the whole room looked brand new. Decor, bedding and floors and walls, all good.

Shasta Inn stay

Well, I have to say that first there were no towels in the room when I arrived. I used the bath mat to dry myself. Then I called the reception early the second morning and mentioned the missing towels. Nothing was done, when I came back for the second night, no towels, no bed made... I had to ask for towels that were finally brought. But the bed was not made or sheets changed. The girl at the reception told me that the next day things would be different, nothing happened, bed not made, no maid to check the room even the notice put at the outside of the door. Very poor service, no promises kept. I do not think I want to go back there...

Good place to stay

Overall it was a really good stay - great location, clean, restaurant and bar on site , adequate parking. In future if I stay there again I'd request a room in the one story buildings, as we heard some noise from upstairs neighbors. Not bad, but not super sound proof. Otherwise, all good! Bed comfy, nice stay.
