Dark Room and no coffee station in lobby

The cons:The room was dark, the bathroom was dark limited lighting. Couldn’t see inside closet. Couldn’t see to put makeup on in bathroom mirror. Near bed,Water stain on ceiling. the shower floor overflowed water into bathroom. Have to go to restaurant to get coffee downstairs. Window view is not good. The pros: The hotel itself is beautiful. Nice pool and hot tub. Large Lobby area. The staff was nice.

Good place with room for improvement

Everyone I interacted with in the staff was kind and helpful. The place looks beautiful, expansive and well landscaped ... but still left something to be desired like maybe in a mid refurbish and took a break? My room looked wonderful but smelled like someone had spilt a gallon of sanitizer on the floor. In a hurry so i could ask to switch rooms, i turned the fan on to constant hoping that would help. It didnt. Beautiful bathroom and shower ... but the water pressure was a drizzle and couldnt power the awesome massage settings on the shower head. Was excited for the breakfast buffet at the restaurant. Food in it self was pretty good, fluffy biscuits, Crispy bacon and ripe fruit. Fresh coffee. Idk if they just didnt have a process of busing tables or what but plural tables across the place stacked with used plates, drinks and food which isnt the end of the world but impacts the experience. What ruined it for me a kitchen attentant bare handed swapping some of the food on the hot bar with a large bandaid on his hand. Thats really basic food safety that just shouldnt happen. Upon returning to my room, housekeeping had left my door propped open, which can be a challenge to my safety as a traveling single woman and my belongings. I did alert the front desk and he took my feedback well. I wish I didnt have to leave these critiques. The pillows were perfect and comfy. The toiletries smelled good. I hope the business offers the staff the training and support they need

The staff were courteous and the beds comfortable. However, the shower had rust along the bottom edges and streaking the wall. The shower vent was filled with dust. The connector on the telephone cord to the room phone was completely severed (the manager said she would put in a work order). Breakfast was okay but nothing special. For a room that cost $172.00 (including taxes), I expect much better attention to detail and much cleaner shower facilities.
