Check in, if before 5 p.m. (Mon-Sat), is next door at my Antique Shop - Lower Lodge Antiques 712 Franklin Street.
Our guests have access to a private “members only” pool in downtown Natchez. Pool open Labor Day to Memorial Day. Pool about 7 blocks from apartment - short drive or an easy walk.

After 5 p.m. and on Sundays we normally use a lock box for check ins. While we do not charge a separate cleaning fee with booking, for long-term stays maid service can be arranged on request (additional fees may apply).

This property was a well maintained property as the listing described. The hosts were very good to communicate with and were helpful with the few issues that we had during our stay. From my understanding, this unit is usually very peaceful. However, to no fault of the host, there was an extremely noisy bar across the road on our night of arrival. The police had to be called out. The host was as helpful as he could be at this time. We were assured by the host and by some return renters that this problem is not customary and very rare. Other than this bar, the location is optimal for shopping and dining. I feel that others would enjoy this unit, but you do need to wait to check in on a Monday to avoid the Sunday night bar party across the street. Having said these things, the host was one of the best that we have worked with and made staying at this unit pleasurable.

This condo is located in historic downtown Natchez. It is very well appointed and filled with art and antiques. The host was most helpful in terms of alerting us to a concert and the local mardi gras parade. Extremely comfortable and welcoming place to stay on Natchez.

Richard, Jill and Barbara are terrific hosts. The upstairs apartment is spacious and comfortable and convenient to all Natchez attractions. The courtyard is a pleasant spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

Our host made sure we had everything to be comfortable while we were visiting. We had plenty of options to choose whether to stay in and enjoy the balconies or venture out on the town. I would highly recommend this location for a getaway. Shopping, eating, nature trails, beautiful homes and churches all within walking distance.

Everything was wonderful! The apartment is so warm and inviting and it had any amenity we could ask for. The private balcony was a big plus and we thoroughly enjoyed it. “Above the Law” was the absolute upstairs private home away from home. 2 beautiful bedrooms/2 full bathrooms/living room/dining room/kitchen were all fully stocked with everything needed. Beautiful private front and rear balconies gave us peaceful time to enjoy sunrise (coffee & breakfast) and sunsets (dinner and drinks) in the city. A beautiful courtyard (shared with other guests) sets the mood as you enter the gate to the beautiful property. My companion and I enjoyed the privacy and the relaxation in the abundant amenities of this 2000 sq ft property and enjoyed the beauty of the art and antique collections throughout. Booked through VRBO, this place exceeded all my expectations and made for an unforgettable getaway. If you’re looking for a blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and Southern hospitality, this is the spot. My partner and I spent a full week here, exploring the area’s rich history and antebellum mansions, and we couldn’t have chosen a better home base. The charm of this place is off the charts. The Law Building itself is a piece of Natchez history, originally a former law office that has been beautifully repurposed into upscale accommodations. Above the Law is the upstairs apartment, and stepping inside feels like entering a time capsule with a contemporary twist. Ideal setting and accommodations

Well-furnished and supplied; a very large space decorated uniquely; great location; wonderful outdoor courtyard. Would love to rent the space again if we return to Natchez. Great place for a short stay or an extended stay. The hosts are quite hospitable. (I would, however, recommend new mattresses for a more comfortable night's rest.)

Perfect Downtown Stay in the Heart of Natchez

We had a fantastic stay at this charming apartment above the antique shop! The location couldn’t be better—just steps from everything downtown Natchez has to offer. We parked the car and walked everywhere with ease.The apartment itself is exactly as pictured—full of character, antiques, and thoughtful decor that really immerses you in the charm of the Old South. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, and the space was clean, comfortable, and incredibly spacious. The beds were cozy and made for restful nights.We especially loved the outdoor areas—a big front porch with rocking chairs to enjoy the view, and a beautiful courtyard in the back with plenty of space to relax. There are a lot of steps up to the second floor, but once you're up there, it’s well worth it.The hosts were warm, helpful, and available if we needed anything. It’s clear they’ve thought of everything to make guests feel at home. This spot is a gem, and we’d absolutely stay here again!

Great hosts and a wonderful stay in Natchez

My husband and I had a wonderful 3-month stay at the Above the Law apartment. The location in the downtown historic district was perfect for us to walk to shops, restaurants and, of course, the Mississippi River and the gorgeous bluff area. The apartment was beautifully furnished with art work, period furniture and interesting collections, and we also made good use of the street-side and courtyard balconies, especially in the mornings and evenings. Our hosts, Richard and Jill, were so kind and generous with information, suggestions and great stories about Natchez, its history and culture that we felt immediately at home. We had some great conversations with them and overall the people we met in Natchez were friendly, always willing to chat and offer help as we wandered - obvious tourists - around the the city. Our stay in Natchez was a real pleasure and we can definitely recommend a stay at the the Above the Law.
