As soon as we got to our room, we wanted to wash up after the long trip into town. But we found that there was no soap in our room. Plenty of shampoo, conditioner, etc., but no soap. Went back downstairs to the desk and spoke to a young lady who appeared to me to be the manager. She apologized, but rather than just handing me a supply of soap she said she would send it up to the room. Ten minutes later a young man knocked on our door and handed me a bottle of body wash, saying that they are “out of soap.” I then had to go back downstairs, get to my car, and drive to the nearest Walgreens to but my own soap! I wish they had just told me that originally and saved me all the trips back and forth. First time I ever heard of a major hotel chain running out of soap. Disappointing.

Great for EV drivers!

This hotel had EV charging and as long as you stay there it was a free service. They also answered my questions before my stay affirming they both had these level 2 chargers and they were complimentary. I really appreciated that. The place was clean and had very easy access to the highway. I wish more hotels, this included had access to a microwave.

The hotel's decoration is a bit unusual—hallways leading to the rooms feel more like a nightclub than a typical hotel. The rooms are fine, though the quirky design theme continues there as well. On the plus side, there are free homemade granola bars and coffee available in the lobby every morning—both are delicious!

First Time Stay

Housekeeping is by request. A NY hotel should have daily housekeeping. In the first room the AC/Heater was not working. Front Desk was helpful in trying to fix and offered me another room. The second room I noticed the floors were sticky and there were ants in a corner of the room. Again front desk was kind to offer a different room. Overall the the hotel/rooms are nice, and quiet, but the rooms should be serviced by housekeeping daily for better maintenance.

The room and hotel were fine; the pool area is nice; the gym is okay, though there were birds nesting in the roof and straw all over the floor, so I'm not sure the last time someone cleaned it. Guests are charged a $25/night resort fee, which is supposed to include fruit and granola with coffee and tea. The "fruit" was granny smith apples wrapped in plastic and the granola was nonexistent. My main complaint is that I left a brand new shirt in my room and the hotel staff were not very helpful in trying to find it or get it back. I called as soon as I got home and realized I left it in the room, and the front desk's only response was "it's not in the lost and found." No offer to check the room or check with housekeeping. I was told they would check the next day and get back to me but they didn't I had to call back and follow up and again was told simply "it's not in the lost and found." I realize that leaving the shirt is on me and I realize there is a limit to what the hotel can do to stop staff taking things that are left in rooms, but I would have appreciated someone at least making an effort to get me my stuff back. This experience left me a bit sour--like their apples--and I probably would not stay here again. And to whoever got my brand new shirt, I hope you enjoy it.
