Please don’t waste your money!!!

This was the worst experience I have had on this site! The property owner doesn’t communicate with you! Pictures on the site have to be from ten years ago- sofa completely ripped up! Trash cans full, linen from previous customers stayed on the carport all week! Dirty poopy tissue in one of the bathrooms, smoke detector in the downstairs bedroom was open with no battery in it! Chewing gum on the bedroom lamp, decor was very cheap looking!! It was not worth the cost! Please don’t rent this property! I have never written a bad review on anyone because I believe in being honest and giving people the benefit of trying but this was not the case- I called to make the rental company aware as well as messaging the property owner but both was a waste of time! I don’t want anyone to have the experience we had! I have pictures to prove I am telling the truth!

It is a breathtaking view! Love the decks and being able to sit inside and watch the waves!

We enjoyed our time here. The house is very warm and welcoming, and very clean and comfortable. The couch is worn, but very comfortable, and five of us had room to spread out. While the kitchen isn’t as fully-equipped as some rentals we’ve been to, it was adequate to meet our needs. We enjoyed walking around the point, searching for shells and watching ships on the horizons. Sunsets were wonderful, as was the moon on Thanksgiving night. I would suggest a remote for the living room TV that you can use to channel up and down, but that’s a small issue overall. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others!

The House Was Tired but the Fees Were Vigorous

Instantly, one could tell the property had never been anything other than a rental. The furnishings and 'decorator' items were of the type found in the back of a TJ Maxx store. The towels were small and rough. The sectional couch was well-worn. I would have really liked a simple reading lamp in the living room... The tacked-on charges to the rent itself piled up quickly. I readily paid for damage insurance, knowing an owner can claim most anything after one leaves and tie up a deposit for months. I reluctantly paid a another travel insurance fee because of hurricane season. Better Beach Rentals, the local broker, added a hefty sum for our (2-person, 4-night) stay which involved a cleaning fee and their own fee. VRBO also charged a substantial fee for their services. Check these add-ons carefully before you commit. However... The house was at the end of the island with water on both sides, so the views were pleasant. It was quiet enough.
