We were able to get a good price on the room, which was the main reason I chose the hotel because it was only for one night.. Keep in mind that it is more of a motel than a hotel. As a single mom, traveling with my daughter, I didn’t really like entering the rooms from the outside. There is traffic and noise around the hotel because it’s in a fairly busy area. It’s right near the mall. We also had quite a few ants in the room. It’s an old property that appears to be remodeled. I was not impressed with breakfast either. Not as good as the chain hotels. Overall, we were able to get this room quite a bit cheaper than the other chain hotels, and for one night it was good enough. There’s nothing wrong with the hotel per se, but it does have an older motel vibe. If you can get a really good price, it’s probably worth it if you’re going for a night or two and need something inexpensive.

The customer service at front desk was really great. I cannot recall her name but she was very helpful. We arrived about 5:15-5:30. The property seems dated but mostly clean. Very offputting to find hair (not ours) before we have used the bathroom. We appreciated the information about the quiet hours. The next door room had very loud TV and speaking or these are not well insulated walls. Luckily did not go on all night.

The room was clean, only two towels so had to ask for more which is fine but more convenient for two sets, breakfast was a good variety, staff was friendly, walking to local restaurants sidewalk too close to hwy. I would stay again.

The location, hotel and amenities were very nice. As far as enjoying the outside and pool area, it was terrible. There were four little league teams (ages 6-8 years old) and their families staying at The Equus Inn in Ocala, FL, the same days as our reservation. They pretty much monopolized the outdoor grassy area by our hotel room & door, as well as the pool near our room also. Thankfully, when they had ball games on Friday & Saturday afternoons, we were able to enjoy the pool for a few hours. When they returned at about 4:30-5:30, the area was overrun by the children and adults until after the 10 p.m. quiet hour curfew. It was well past this the 3 nights we stayed (6/5-6/7/2025). Had we been informed of these circumstances, our reservations would have been elsewhere. In our opinion, we should have been offered a discount for the hotel reservation. Because we went through the 3rd party, Hotels.com, this was not an option. Hindsight is always 20-20, yet we could have stayed at another hotel for much less than thr Equus Inn. We paid $165+ for 3 nights! Needless to say, we will do not plan on staying there again.

Amazing Place! Best choice for beach trip. House was found clean, dining and lunch places were walking-distance, and beach access perfectly accessible. Kitchen, rooms and bathroom had everything expected. The apartments feel really safe and they’re quiet, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Host was incredible too! She responded quickly for any questions we had!
