Be careful when booking. I booked a room that did NOT say Pet Friendly. I did that on purpose. I arrive and was provided a key. Quickly saw the room, dropped my bag and left to meet my sister for dinner. Later that night, I returned to the room and all I wanted was to shower and head to bed. The shower (along the sliding door), was dirty. Black stuff. Water pressure was terrible. Found two strange winged bugs but didn’t think much. Was ready to go to bed and first thing I see is a small bug crawling on the bed. Never seen a bed bug in real life so I can’t confirm what it was but I immediately called the front desk that assured me I would have maintenance there within five mins. Literally one minute later I saw four fleas bouncing off the bed. I called the front desk again and mentioned I had picked a room not labeled pet friendly. He informed me that all rooms are pet friendly but they just “do a deeper cleaning in these rooms”. Um what????? He told me he could switch me to another room but at this point I’m not only disgusted but upset that I might end up in another room with fleas (and bed bugs or something). I walked to the front desk and asked about a refund … Jose at the front desk with a snarky attitude immediately said I needed to contact the third party and that he can put that I am requesting a refund BUT that “technically I stayed there since I had checked in”. Really? He was rude. I called Expedia who then called him and he gave them attitude too. Glad I left.

Wonderful place to stay! Very comfortable. The pool and grounds were very welcoming as was the staff. Morning breakfast was plentiful and evening beverage bar had multiple choices.

I was looking for a decent place to stay for 2 nights on my way to the Florida keys that wouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg. This place was a real surprise. I could not have been happier with the room, staff, location, breakfast and price of the junior King room. I used to stay strictly at Hampton but they have out priced themselves. I highly recommend this hotel!
