Great location

The location was key for me, as it was close to the Carlsbad Half Marathon start. The lady at the checkin was super sweet and helpful and I truly appreciate her kindness. The hotel has seen better days and could use an upgrade. Pricey for the hotel level.

Old and dirty bedding sheets and blankets.

The place was in an ok area. The AC was old and dusty, the room wa supposed to be smoke free but there were cigarette burns in the curtains and bed sheets. Also bedding sheets were stained, burned and ripped. Also some people were having in out smoking were it was supposed to be smoke free and workers wouldn’t tell them anything.

This is a basic facility but really don't need much except a good bed and clean room. Breakfast was decent with make your own waffles. The only issue we had was the hot tub. It was NOT hot. Pool no heating at all which is understandable but you do want a HOT tub.
