The staff was awesome, but our room had one large window that looked out into the street, so that if we had any of the blinds opened people could see into the entire room. Not ideal. But the bed was comfy and the staff was nice.

Excellent service at The Fin. Shower was rather slippery. No non-slip treatment or mat. Surprising. Area is nice with good food. Bed was ok. Plenty of shampoo and conditioner. Parking is tight so if you have a big vehicle good luck!

The price was a little high due to me booking on the weekend. But the quality is definitely nice: small modest building on the outside, nice and relaxing accommodations on the inside. Very close to Downtown Oceanside businesses, the Pier, and the train station. No need to worry about parking, just the way I like it. Also, it's very close to a Breeze Bus stop, including the Route 101 that takes you all the way down to UTC in San Diego City.

As a property it was exactly what we were looking for in an Oceanside experience. The reason for the 3 stars is purely because of the rude concierge lady who didn’t make us feel welcome from the moment we checked in all the way until we checked out after 2 nights stay. She was great at letting you know what an inconvenience you were to her as a guest at The Fin. Won’t be back thanks to her rude attitude, angry demeanor and generally just unpleasant human to interact with.

Bed was extremely comfy and I was always greeted with a smile by the staff. The cafe attached to the hotel makes great lattes as well. I will definitely stay here again when I return!

Adequate little hotel

Except for a few details this was a pretty good place to stay. Clean and quiet although right on Coast Highway. The room is very small; the bed was comfortable. The shower was good but should have a grab bar! The sink faucet needs attention as a small stream shoots out sideways, soaking the counter! You have to keep the blind down as the only window looks out on a stairway so no privacy at all. The AC was quiet and efficient. Very stylish boutique hotel.
