Liked that is was on a beautiful lake and the pricing was fair & I thought this was due to it being a state park. I was wrong. The first that was I called before making the trip 800 miles to see if a golf cart could be used on property & was told it would be fine, only possible restrictions was i would need to check with golf course to see if it could be used on course. I have a bad knee and as cabins are a good distance from lodge, beach and marina it would be much more convenient than driving truck everywhere. The first day we got there my husband was stopped by park officer and was told without exception, golf cart could not be used inside the park. I was so upset, first not having use of cart & the expense & transporting it back & forth from home. The cabin was ok, not great, but ok, other than a bunch of bugs, outside & in. Yes, I know we were in the woods but I did not expect them everywhere inside. I has to spray everywhere to keep the bugs out. Really creeped us all out. The cabins are poorly maintained, the kitchens are poorly stocked, not one single baking pan/sheet. Then upon checking they tried to charge me $300 extra because they insisted I was not booked thru Expedia but directly thru Lodge, & even though I assured them I booked thru expedia, she assured me i was wrong until i found my booking & quote & showed it to her, at which point she corrected pricing but no apology for basically calling me a liar. I could go on but i am at limit. Never again

The inside was very nice and clean but the outside had not been taken care of at all the deck looked unsafe to be on it was filthy nasty dirty such a waste to have it and the grass around had not been mowed and kept up at all I wouldn’t want my grandson out playing in it at all so do better on that part

State run facility. It is old hence the good vs great on the actual room. All issues except the very low flush toilet😌 were remedied by staff upon our request: tub w/o stopper; no TV signal; no soap. Lovely pool and main hall facilities!!! Beautiful lake—great access to beach, boat launch, biking or waking trails. Way better than a hotel along the highway enroute home❣️

Fun and nice overall however we had a big puddle of water leaking from AC and they told us tanks for letting us know when we called.. we had to just keep putting towels down to make sure no one slipped but overall kids had fun and the fishing was great… the food at lodge was good but VERY expensive.. 2 adults 4 kids and our buffet was 160$ I was not expecting that.
