There are the amenities of the Pagosa Lakes Recreation Center, and the five private lakes that give the area its name – four of which are regularly stocked with bass and trout. It is also close to Wolf Creek Ski Resort and San Juan National Forest and the Weminuche Wilderness. There are trails for mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, and hiking.
