It was worn, and dirty. The common area and stair carpets were so bad I would be embarrassed to show it to the public. The top linen had stains, there was a pair of children’s jeans in the bureau when I opened it. The doors were stained, and there were hairs stuck to the shower wall. I will stop there

We stayed at this property several times in the past in the main building. We were always satisfied by the quality for the price. This time we were in another building. The room smelled strongly of disinfectant, the furniture was partly broken, and there was a slippery film on the floor. The quality of breakfast has also gone down, as well as the quality of the breakfast space (e.g. broken chairs).

Building and rooms are very run down. Old carpeting, holes in walls, needs re-painting. Bathroom was not thoroughly clean, vinyl floors sticky and carpet had stains. Had to call for more toilet paper. Ice bucket dirty/sticky. Didn’t expect 4 star hotel but condition of this hotel is terrible and cleanliness also not good. Only thing that seemed clean enough was the bed.

Horrible place! Filthy carpet everywhere, broken locks and inoperable smoke detectors, service was minimal…hair and used bars of soap in the tub…noisy and dirty smelling… Don’t stay here!

The service was good, had a problem with the tv. They came to my room within 10 minutes and solved the problem. The breakfast was ok, but the carpets in the hallways need to be cleaned. The bed was comfortable.

Booked this room for a bachelor party, so not like they needed the nicest room to sleep in.When they checked in there was a sign in the lobby that stated a room complaint needed to be placed within 20 mins of checking in. The room smelled so badly of bleach one guy couldn't even stand to be in the room for more than 10 mins. There was also carpet cleaning powder all over the tile. They complained, and were told there would be a 20% discount to the rooms.. They were charged full price, and Expedia left it up to me to call the hotel back and get them to honor the discount... which I still haven't gotten. When I called on a Thursday, I was told the manager wouldn't be back until Monday.... All and all a terrible place and terrible experience with Expedia...

I’m not sure if I was misinformed, but this hotel is not a hotel. It’s a motel. The entrance to your rooms is from the outside individually which I was not comfortable with - when I asked for a room upstairs, they were going to charge us more for the stay just because the rooms upstairs were 2 queens instead of 1 king bed. When I walked in, ⅔ women at the front just stared at me, very uncomfortably. Once we got into the room, the floors were sticky,

Quality inn south Portland

The lady who checked us in was very friendly and knowledgeable. The lobby had a very strong fragrance... cleaner of some sort. The carpets really need to be cleaned both in the lobby and the rooms. They could probably do some in depth cleaning to the whole building. But overall, not a bad place.
