It's a loud watering hole with tired old rooms. If your room is anywhere near to the central stairwell on a drinking night you should be prepared to listen to the boisterous chatter from the open bar until it closes down. There's an additional fee for breakfast even if you don't partake. We stayed for one Saturday night and we were forced to pay that additional fee. Guess what they don't even serve on Sunday mornings!!! I would encourage anyone to consider other options if they're available.

Bugs in the bathroom that were dead on the window. I wanted to love the hotel and I loved the lobby but the room needed updates. There was water damage on the ceiling, beds were old and mattresses uncomfortable. It would be great but was not impressed with the room. Even the soap Dish in the bathroom was chipped.

This inn had so much charm. It is nestled in a beautiful part of Exeter. It's like taking a step back in time in a good way. The bar was nice to unwind and have a drink at the end of a long day. We didn't try the restaurant, but look forwarding to returning in the future.
