Holiday Inn is usually my #1 choice during my frequent roadtrips but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing. When I arrived in the evening for check-in, I found out the elevator was broken — a major issue that no one had the courtesy to mention in advance. I needed a room on the first floor due to this, but the receptionist, Randy, was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of trying to accommodate my needs or offering an explanation, he abruptly said he would cancel my booking without me even requesting it. The receptionist also struggled to answer basic questions, took his time chatting while customers were waiting in line, and lacked basic customer service skills. This is not the level of service I have see on other hotel with the same brand. I ended up having to find another hotel last minute — one that actually knows how to treat its customers. I highly recommend avoiding this location and exploring other options in Price, UT.

The woman who checked us in must have been having a bad day. She barely looked up from her computer during the interaction. She perfectly walked the line between rude and friendly, doing neither. The hotel elevator was broken for which we got a discount I guess because our bill was less than it was supposed to be. I’ve never seen a HIE this run down. The tile grout throughout the building was filthy, especially in our bathroom. The trim and caulk in the bathroom was falling apart. The drawers in the dresser were difficult to open because of something sticky. I didn’t investigate, we were only there for one night. Breakfast was well stocked and delicious. The check out person was very friendly and helpful.

The lady that checked us in was AWESOME. Tara I believe was her name. She actually called me the day before we got there to see if there anything we thought of we may need. Above & beyond. Room was clean & everyone was great. VERY happy with our stay.
