Cleaning lady left a wet dirty towel in shower along with a long black hair. People above me had kids running and jumping and crying non-stop. Are your walls and floors paper thin? Just very sad that the staff do not pay more attention to the little things, which are big things to paying customers.

This hotel was completely misrepresented on Expedia. The listing claimed the room could accommodate five guests and included a pull-out couch—neither of which was true. The hotel has no rooms that fit five people and no pull-out couches at all. When we raised the issue, the front desk told us to go to Walmart and buy an air mattress, then blamed Expedia for the inaccurate listing. The room itself was also in poor condition: the bathroom door didn’t close, the floors were dirty, and there was thick dust and grime on the light switches and outlets. Very disappointing experience. While my children enjoyed the water park, it was shocking to see the lack of lifeguards and how little attention they paid to the water. Some areas had no lifeguard presence at all, and there were no visible rules posted. When lifeguards did intervene, they explained the issue, but did so by yelling at both kids and adults. It felt disorganized and unsafe.

Pros- The rooms were nice sized with plenty of space for luggage and 4 people. They also allowed us to check in a little early. Breakfast was very good. Cons- I was not pleased that we never had any room service for 3 days. I was ok conserving the towels and bed linens but the room desperately needed trash cans emptied. Too many hotels fed into the hotel waterpark. It was overly crowded in the evenings, with only a few slides and a very compact space. There were only a handful of tubes for the lazy river so kids just swam and splashed and pushed. The hot tub was overrun with young children. The sounds of life guard whistles were a constant shrill. I do NOT recommend the waterpark.

The waterpark was not too big, but the kids had fun. The hotel had a complimentary breakfast that was pretty typical of the hotels that we visited. I was disappointed that the attached arcade is not complimentary, even though the water park is included. We were greeted by a host who was on the phone with another guest while we were checking in, and no one really explained anything. The room itself smelled like a wet dog, although it might have something to do with the waterpark itself. Also, there are only two washing machines, and they cost $2 to wash one load, and an additional $2 to dry it. Not a fault of the hotel, but there were kids on the floor above us who were shouting and running until about 11:00 PM - a bit noisy. The shower area had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which was nice, but the tub had a blue stain around the edges. Overall, not a bad stay, but plan on paying extra for every amenity.

It was very frustrating that the keys deactivated about every 8 hours. You would have to go get a new key almost everytime we went to the room. They also would just take your wood for what room you were in and didnt ask for any id. This made me stress that someone could just give our room number and come in at any time

Great location in South Dakota. Easily accessible pool and water park. Arcade was great also! Close to Mount Rushmore and if you’re chasing all 50 states you can get to Wyoming and Montana from there within an hour! Overall amazing place!

LOTS of dogs of all sizes at this hotel, barking in the hallways & in the rooms, which you can hear if they are in the room next to you. We had a family suite, the room itself was fine, bed was clean & nice. We did feel like the couch was dirty & the pillows on it were gross and visibly dirty. Breakfast was great, lots of options! Waterpark was good, clean, & included in the stay… but the lifeguards are not watching the water and are mostly chatting with each other & on their phones. Lots of teens running wild in there, and the lifeguards don’t say anything. There was no lifeguard present for the lazy river, which we found odd, and at times no lifeguard at the bottom of the slides which is alarming. This hotel is fairly close to tourist destinations & food options.
