Horrible experience first night with loud disruptive people in the nearby rooms. Called the front desk. Would not stay again. Unfortunately we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Stay there on our honeymoon.

We went for Thanksgiving. We had a couple of hours wait before our reservation. We decided to get a drink but the bar was closed. We had a nice stay but we werent overwhelmed.

Loved the history baked right into the hotel itself. Great recommendations from front desk staff. We appreciate hotel cleaning staff honoring our wishes to not have our room cleaned during our two nights stay — we’re pretty clean and don’t use that many of the complimentary items to need a restock😊. Dinner and breakfast at Scarlet were delicious— also great staff!

Bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet other than the train traffic. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful but other staff we encountered in the building did not engage or talk to us. Bedding was fine but towels and robes in the bathroom were clean but very worn. A few more amenities in the room like a mini fridge and microwave would have been nice. Room was very dark so additional lighting would have been good. Also TV service was very spotty.

It's a beautiful hotel in downtown Red Wing with spacious, clean, and nicely decorated rooms. The downstairs bar had cool decor and a wonderful bartender!
