Head into downtown Redmond seven miles away, or downtown Bend about 18 miles south. This area offers an abundance of outdoor recreation, from hiking and biking to kayaking and skiing. Spend a day exploring Smith Rock State Park, about 16 miles away, which features several trails with stunning views of Smith Rock and the surrounding river and landscape. Head up to Mt. Bachelor, about 40 miles away, for skiing and winter sports.
