Downtown Rutland Concert

The pros outweigh the cons at this Comfort Inn. Pros: helpful staff, clean room, comfy bed, nice hot water, good water pressure. Fridge microwave, and coffee maker in room. Coffee and water available in the lobby, too. Excellent variety of choices for breakfast. Cons: older building, stained lobby/hallway carpeting, peeling wallpaper. Rooms smelled very musty. There was a pool and hot tub that I didn’t get to try, but they looked good.

There wasn't much to like! The head of housekeeping was great. The day front desk people were not the friendliest. The building was in need of much repair and attention. Curled floor mats, peeling paint on detached handrails, dark and dated lobby, rooms with vent system continually blowing obnoxious stale cigarette smoke. The internet was not working. Breakfast was a reflection of the hotel, very poor. powdered eggs were undercooked, hockey pucks for donuts, eggs paddies were tough as leather. the coffee was good, This place is a very poor representation of a Comfort Inn!

It was conveniently located lots of stuff to do near it. The room was comfortable and average size, the bathroom very small. We moved our car when we saw broken glass in the parking lot. Staff was friendly and checking in and out was pleasant.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this property is on the older side and it shows once you are inside the building. The hallways are dark and have a strong musty smell, and inside the actual room is more of the same with the carpet having the distinct "wet" feeling to them despite not actually being wet. Despite this, the property served its purpose for what I needed when staying in the area short-term and the staff was friendly to interact with.

The staff was friendly and accomadating. The pool area was set up well with plenty of clean towels. The breakfast offered a lot of options. As an elderly woman traveling alone with children I felt safe. The parking lot isn't well marked from the street.
