Horrible experience.

The entire experience was dreadful. We didn’t have a room assigned when we arrived and the property was “sold out” Thankfully someone else checking in was accommodating enough to take the one king room available and give us their double room for our party of 4. Upon arriving at 10:30pm we found a room covered in filth and ants. The front desk attendant was incredibly kind and apologetic but I had to scrub the room myself. After three bucket dumps, the floor was still disgusting. I finally gave up and decided it was clean enough to walk across and the ants were dead. The next morning I asked for the room to be cleaned and to speak with a manager. When we returned hours later, the room was not cleaned, only tidied as the walls still had dirt and what looked like fecal matter smeared on them. As of this review and a week later with a phone call daily to the property, the manager April has yet to call me back to address any of this.

The property is going through major renovations, no signs indicating which hall the room is on, post it notes taped to door indicating room numbers(placards were placed on the floor). Breakfast was in a makeshift conference room.

The property is under construction and the hotel is under much needed renovation but the rooms are extremely clean, the staff was nice. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing all the updates and will definitely stay there again.

It’s hard to know where to start. There were so many things that were wrong right from the start. When we first got into our room, there was no working heat. I had to call & request help for this twice. Finally when no one came to resolve the problem, I went down to the desk. A young employee told me they were moving us to another room. He came up to our room later with no cart to move our luggage to the next room. I requested he go retrieve a luggage cart. When he came back with the cart, he made no move whatsoever to help my sister & I put the luggage on the cart. We are in our late 60’s & had four suitcases. He stood there watching us load it all. The new room had two sinks in the bathroom. One sink had only hot water & the other had only cold water. There was no dresser whatsoever in the whole room in which to put our clothes. Altho they assured us that all rooms had been updated, it was as if they had only done part of the renovation & just left the rest. There was no phone, just a bare wire where the phone should be. Another very annoying thing was that the entire hallway on our floor REEKED of weed during our entire stay. I pass no judgement whatsoever on anyone who smokes weed. It doesn’t bother me in the least. However, I do not appreciate smelling it so very strongly all day everyday. It was disgusting. I’m from Salisbury & lived there for many years before moving to NC. I visit often to see family & friends. I will not be re-visiting the La Quinta in Salisbury.

Creepy 😱

Not so good. Spotty hot water. Poor security. Anybody could walk in without a key. Room numbers on post it notes. Breakfast not complete during time indicated. No phone or clock in room. Pot holes in driveway leading to parking lot. Graffiti in elevator.

I loved how wonderful and professional that staff was to me. I did not like that the hotel advertised a restaurant and bar, There was no way to get to the 2nd floor because it was being renovated. My room was listed as renovated but there was old, dirty carpet in my room, and the heating system was very noisy that I got very little sleep. The shower was positioned that I had to actually get in the shower to turn on the water - there was no way to stand outside of the shower to test the water temperature before getting in. It was just a very disappointing experience, and I would never, ever recommend nor stay at ANY La Quinta hotels ever.

Slow renovations

This is a nice hotel in a long process of refurbishing. We never had hot water in the shower, there was no working ice machines, and there was no breakfast buffet (snack sacks instead). This hotel is in a nice walking distance location to downtown Salisbury. We keep staying here. and the hotel gradually getting better.

The entire parking lot is covered in black ice from the snow storm that happened over a week ago. Your website said that they have a bar. They do not, it is under renovation and has been closed for two years. That was the only reason I picked this one.
