Stayed at the Urban after having been 4 weeks in the wilderness (John Muir Trail). Affordable and adequate accomodation, thoug they have limited room cleaning (not every day). For me, this is great, as I do not need fresh towels etc. every day. Showers and restrooms are ok, though it always depends on how other guests treat the shared facilities. As the Urban is in downtown SF, it might get a bit noisy (no real problem, but just want to mention it), but on the other hand a lot of great spots in SF (SF MoMa, diverse Cafés, the waterfront, public transportation etc.) are within walking distance. I enjoyed my stay at the Urban!

You get what you pay for (and nothing is cheap in SF!), communal toilets and showers but there were plenty and they are clean and modern. Room v small humid but clean enough. ok for the price
