Friendly staff, clean grounds and recently renovated. Comfortable beds. I was a bit bummed when I realized it’s about 15 mins from the beach however the quality of the hotel made it totally worth the drive.

The hotel was good, but I think it could benefit from a lobby microwave, if one in every room is not financially feasible. The helpful employee at the front desk informed me this was a COVID precaution but it has been years since the pandemic. For a hotel where everything else is fairly high quality, I thought this was a gross oversight on the Orange County Hotel's part. I think it would be within current work demands to have a microwave in the lobby and huge benefit to people staying there for work, which I believe is the current majority of hotel stayers. The staff very accommodating! I loved that the lady at the front desk offered to move her car so I could use her space, since I paid $24 for the parking. She offered her space because there were even cars even parked inside the roundabout and some were even double-parked. I didn't want to do that to her, so checked out and went home- not even having slelpt in the bed. I have not beeb contacted by anyone since, even though I left mt number. DO NOT DRIVE A CAR HERE

Second time at this property and overall, I was very disappointed. I believe the hotel has been under new ownership since I was here last. The corner room was beautiful and spacious- however had a scent of sewage coming out of the toilet spoiling the aromatic value of the entire room. Also, beware of parking cost of $24 per night, not included in the price of the room, this wasn’t the case during my previous visit. I see no reason for charging parking in an open, unsecured lot with no security. When I mentioned it to the hotel front desk when I checked-in, she rudely scoffed “well things change”. Not a pleasant attitude for someone who merely asked why. Later during the night I requested an ice bucket because the room was missing one, male front desk said they would send one to the room “if” they had any left, bothered to call no one while stood there- unfortunately no one bothered to ever come. The hotel, room, and area is beautiful, yes, peaceful to sit by the lake and watch the ducks… but with the customer service and staff as poor and lacking as it was. It’s not worth returning I no longer recommend this hotel
