Mattress Mayhem Molded Motel

This motel is a complete dump. It looks as though it is for the sole purpose of housing passing by transients. Don't fall onto the beds because you will feel the base board underneath the mattress because the mattress is so thin. There was someone's black, long hair all over the shower's wall and floor. There wasn't a bathtub, just a tile shower that looks like it belongs in a locker room. It had mold a mildew throughout it...all along the wall tiles and the ceiling. Some of the drywall baseboards missing and there was mold on it. I checked out early and was provided an apology, a refund for the unused night, and discount because of the mold. The staff was very friendly, but I took off stars for the housekeeping. The location is walking distance to the grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants and about 2 miles from Solvang.

This was the cheapest motel in the area on Expedia. The room is basic and a bit small with a double bed. There is a small sitting area for 2 with a chair and 1-person sofa bench. The only amenities they offer is towels, so we brought our own shampoo, hair dryer, etc with us, but just about anything you need is available from the front desk. My wife wanted an extra pillow, so the front desk got us one from housekeeping. The shower/bath is a new, modern unit. My wife commented that the toilet is a bit low, so older folks might have a hard time standing up again after sitting down on it. The window panes are a bit thin, so we could hear people talking and cars going by with loud mufflers at various times of the night and early morning. All-in-all, it's a clean, basic room for a good price in a very convenient location, and we will return.

For what we paid for this room it was not at all what we expected. You don't get any shampoos or body wash. No refrigerator or microwave. No safe or coffee maker. I was disappointed. Really wanted a nice shower after traveling all day. If you dont need these things then i would recommend this motel. I feel the price is too high for what you get.

Last minute booking

The curtain rod came off as I closed the curtain. I couldn’t put it back. When you turn the bathroom light on, a fan turns on automatically. The fan was dirty and so noisy, I would use the restroom in the dark. My son was afraid it would fall on his head. Although it was a smoke free room, it smelled like smoke. The beds weren’t comfy. I have to say the staff at check in and out were nice and friendly. There is no room service (towel change) for multiple night stay. The parking lot was full and I noticed the police patrolling the area. Im not sure if it is a high crime area but I appreciate the police presence. This was a last minute trip. I couldn’t find anything nearby because of the holiday. You get what you paid for.
