This place looks like an old apartment building that was converted to a quality and level of hotel. Of course it is an amazing location, just steps from the beach, but no air-condition in the rooms, quiring you to leave the windows open at night to sleep cool in a knot so safe neighborhood where apartment buildings have bars on the windows so great location but hotel just OK.

It was an older Motel that had seen better days. It was clean but several lights did not work and the shower curtain had ripped holes and the shower had small amounts of black mold. When someone in the next room took a shower at 3AM it sounded like an 18 wheeler coming through the room.

We decided to stay someplace else. Rooms were old and stained. Bed was squishy. No air conditioning. Used a regular key and the door knob was super loose. Felt rather unsafe.

If you’re a heavy sleeper, looking for somewhere to crash near the beach then this is the place for you. Photos are misleading, this hotel is older than what the photos show. I never leave poor reviews but this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I should have spent the extra $100-$200 to actually get a good nights sleep. Pros: Front desk attendant provided good customer service, it’s very close to the beach, free street parking, decent tv channel options. Cons: Outdated/run down room, dust on items, stains on various parts of the rooms, what looks like mold in the shower, because there’s only a ceiling fan you have to sleep with the windows open which means you’re going to hear absolutely EVERYTHING that goes on outside. But honestly even with the windows closed you can hear too much. So unless you’re a heavy sleeper, prepare to not sleep. The bed also isn’t very comfortable.

The hotel was so beautiful, very clean, and the location was amazing. Unfortunately, the mattress was very hard, and the pillow was so thin it was almost like sleeping without one.

This property is a gem considering its proximity to the beach. It is not fancy or luxurious but very charming. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spotless and very spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. Great coffee in the lobby for guests from a local coffee shop. If you’re looking for location this is fabulous for the price. Parking is available if you want it. We will now use this as our go to when visiting our daughter in Santa Barbara.
