The hotel was clean and comfy but the casino is very smokey and kinda dirty. Im use to Mohegan in CT and was expecting the same quality atmosphere but it doesn't compare. I guess they are not affiliated - at least that's what Mohegan PA said. Dinner was good but its in the casino and the smoke was bothering me.

Check-In Disaster, Room Not Ready Until 5:15

I stayed one night here with my partner. The casino floor is fun, the restaurants are solid, and the front desk clerks themselves were kind and professional. Once we finally got into our room, it was fine. The issue was check-in. Official check-in is listed as 4:00pm. We arrived on time and were told our floor “still needed cleaning.” We ended up waiting in the lobby for over an hour and didn’t get into our room until 5:15pm. After a long drive from Bowie, Maryland, that was incredibly frustrating. What made it worse was how management handled the situation. Jessica, the front office manager, was dismissive and offered no solution, no apology, and no effort to make things right. At a casino resort where comps and gestures of goodwill are the norm, even something as small as a drink voucher or waived fee would have gone a long way. Instead, we were brushed off, which left a bad impression. The property itself is fine and the clerks were kind, but management failed to provide even basic hospitality when things went wrong. For a resort brand of this level, that’s disappointing.

There’s nothing to do there, other than gamble (of course). The restaurants are okay, and pricey. In the morning, they turned off the water without letting us know they were doing it, and then they accused us of lying about that. The Mohegan Sun in CT is first class, this place is nothing like that. Stay away
