My coworker and I stayed here for 2 days for a business trip. Unfortunately, our job involved working overnight and sleepng during the day. The beds werent terrible, but the cooling system did however dissapoint. I know we've entered peak heat season in Texas but the ac never managed to reach below 72°. Not intolerable but warmer than we'd prefer. The shower had mold forming in the caulked joints, and the exhaust fan in the restroom did not work. Overall, we were able to get some rest and continue our scheduled work routine.
The staff was so nice and helpful. The only reason we left early was that the pool was closed for maintenance and that was a key reason we chose that motel.
Wet, flooded carpet in the room they gave us. Nasty carpet. They were laying tile in dining area and could not use it. Could not use the pool. Ice machines were not working. Could not use lobby. I could go on and on. No apologies! No one told us before we arrived. Will not use Hotels.com again.
We’ve stayed here many times and it’s not perfect but the main issue we’ve grown tired of is the staff aren’t very friendly. On this particular trip it felt like we were being looked down on. We had bought a new home and were coming in to empty our 3 storage units out at the lake and so whenever we’d get finished up, of course we’d be sweaty when we got back, but when I’d ask a question to the lady at the front desk, she’d treat me like I was beneath her and that really didn’t make me feel good at all. After this, we started staying in Sherman for all our other trips.
Not much to like. They gave my room key to another person and I had to go trade with them.
Air conditioning was terrible.
Check in was slow.
Room was very outdated. Mold around tub tile.
Housekeeping knocked on door at 10:00 and check-out wasn’t until 12:00.
I paid Expedia at time of booking. But the hotel charged me for the room too on the card I left for incidentals when I checked in. Couldn’t get anyone on the phone so had to go through corporate.
