This place is an older motel that has been redone on the inside. From the pictures on Expedia, I expected it would be a small, newer cabin-type room (also given that it's connected to an RV park). But once we got inside, it was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It's right on highway 160, which can be loud. But with the room ventilation fan provided the white noise we needed to keep road noise out. There is no front desk, just direct access to the room. For the price, I think it's a good value and I would stay there again.

reasonable price, would rate higher but housekeeping used way too much industrial strength deodorizer. Had to open door and run heater for a couple of hours to be able to stand the overpowering smell.

Door code was incorrect, tried calling every number with no luck but thankfully got a text back with a different code to try. Random dogs will greet you from the cabins. Place is rough but doable. They need a new handy man, workmanship was poor.

Rainbow Lodge is a great and convenient location for day-trips / back-country touring in Southfork area. Rooms are large, nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The only reason I rated this Lodge as a 4 is because the rooms have no A/C....owner says it is because it is not needed.....temps dip to mid 50's overnight. The problem is the rooms heat up during the day and it was difficult to rest in a warm room while waiting for the cool down to occur. The windows had no screens, so I was not comfortable leaving windows open to assist with cool-down. The owner was very nice to provide a fan for us....which helped tremendously.

Clean overall. Small bath towels from Pakistan are not my favorite. As I've said before the air con vents need cleaned. The air con seems to have gotten louder. Overall a good place to stay for the price.

Room was fine, bed was comfortable, about average for an older motel. A clock on the nightstand would be nice (I set the clock on the microwave). Vinyl floor needed to be wet mopped; when I got a shower, my footprints in the tub left dirt from the floor.

Place was great for the price! They had a huge TV, which was fun because we had just been tent camping. Nice amenities, including coffee in the room. Bed was comfortable, and enormous if you like that. It seemed large even for a king. Maybe it was because of that little tent the night before!

Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy. The room did get a little warm as I couldn't seem to locate an A/C. Check in was easy. The town does not have many food options.

There are no staff at this location but self check in wasn’t a problem. The rooms smelled like stale cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. I reserved for a family of 5 and there weren’t enough bath towels. Would I stay here again - no.
