Driving up we felt like the place looked a bit rundown. The lobby has been updated and looks like a pricier hotel. A closer look will find that the couches in the main lobby are stained and dingy. The fancy coffee machines in the lobby were down our entire 5 day stay. The "business center" is a computer and printer on a table in the middle of the lobby. Fine if you just need to print something, but not ideal if you're looking for a quiet space to work. Staff we came across with was very friendly, but most of them spoke limited English. Our room was in Tower B which is kind of a hike with luggage. Our room smelled very musty and had a slight odor similar to urine, but things were clean. Bathroom is tiny! Heated pool is the one with the swim up bar and it's pretty small. None of the pools get deeper than 4 feet (I think 3'9" if I remember right). The restaurants on the property are kinda spendy, especially the one inside the main building. The outside of the buildings are pretty rundown with grates for AC units are literally hanging by a thread. Beach access was decent but apparently you have to pay for an umbrella and chairs, which is not what I'd expect for a resort (and wasn't mentioned anywhere). Pics seen online show a high rise from the pool area...that's the building next store. Overall, it was clean but in need of updates and repairs.
