I arrived to check in at the South Deerfield Red Rood Inn instead of West Springfield where I was mistakenly booked. Deerfield had availability and contacted the West Springfield Red Roof Inn - they advised I book a room with Deerfield and they would work on refunding me. I have screenshots of the conversations showing this. No one will refund me. I have called the front desk at West Springfield and they directed me to the general manager’s voicemail. I have left her two messages this week and NO response at all. How can this even be called hospitality? If you’re considering staying at a Red Roof Inn, don’t do it! You’ll be better off sleeping in your car.

I have photo evidence to show this properly was not clean or sanitary... Dirty bathroom, moldy bathroom ceiling, soap scum all over the shower head.. My wife notice a dried up corner in the main sink . The tub was so dirty my wife refused to stwp it to shower.

Our room was clean and modern, but there was a very strong smell of old cigarette smoke. We sensed this smell in the lobby during our check-in, and the same smell was in our room, even though it was in a different building. My wife had difficulty breathing and could not sleep for most of the night. For almost $200 per night, this was a pretty bad experience for our family.

Lobby was clean, staff was friendly, heat worked fine. Parking was ample. Not enough pillows. 2 very small pillows for each queen bed, should have 4 or at least 3. Toilet seat was very loose, remote did not work, which they fixed right away. Place could use some updating. We were there for UMass football game with family and we had 4 rooms total.

During our stay I kept thinking “lipstick on a pig.” The room was somewhat “updated” - fresh coat of paint, including on the toilet seat!, and new floors. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom. The bathtub was chipped. The comforter was stained and disgusting (thankfully we brought our own). Only two towels. The bathroom door was cracked (but painted over like everything else in the room). Full size mirror placement was odd - the gap in the curtains allowed you to look into the room at the mirror that reflected the bed. Door to the outside was was dented up - like someone had kicked it several times. Will never stay there again.

Never had such a bad experience- room smells like leftover food, only one TV channel to watch (weather channel), bathtub clogged, sheets had hair and blood on it clearly not changed, front desk told us they didn’t have extra clean sheets….we booked for two nights and requested a refund on a second night because it is inhabitable. The management declined our request even they didn’t have other room for us to move to. We were there for the Family Weekend, and it ended super disappointed!!!!

Stayed here 4th of July weekend. Came back this weekend for a trip to Six Flags New England and stayed in room 139. The good: bedding was clean and bathroom was clean. The bad: Paid for a Premium King, was given a standard. Room was as bare bones as they come. No alarm clock, (3) pillows for (2) people on a king bed for God sake give (4). (1) Wash Cloth for 2 people for 2 nights. What sent me over the edge is that the room needed a gut rehab: Peeling paint in some areas in the room and bathroom, main lamp had no working bulb, draw handles were rusted, there was slight mold on the ceiling. The room needed a major update it looked like an by the hour motel. I have stayed in about 40 hotels in the last year and this room was one of the biggest dumps I stayed in. Mind you the price point for this "premium king" was $307.00 for two night. DO BETTER!
