Review of Maple Tree Inn, Sunnyvale, CA I really wanted to like this hotel—it’s in a convenient location, and I had stayed here before. But unfortunately, my experience as a guest with a service animal was disappointing, and ultimately upsetting enough that I won’t be returning. On two separate visits, I was questioned and confronted by staff for having my service animal with me in public areas of the hotel. These weren’t small misunderstandings—they were uncomfortable, drawn-out interactions that made me feel unwelcome and singled out. It’s especially disheartening because I gave the hotel a second chance, hoping the first incident had been an isolated case. Service animals are protected under federal law, and a guest shouldn’t have to explain or defend their legal rights in order to enjoy their stay. While the hotel eventually refunded my stays, it took quite a bit of back-and-forth, and the emotional toll is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. If you’re traveling with a service animal or require accommodations covered under the ADA, I’d suggest finding a place where accessibility and respect are clearly understood and upheld

Plenty of free parking around the building. Located near lots of restaurants and supermarkets. Bathroom is quite nice and upgraded with modern features. Flawless experience.

Good location and clean. I have only one complaint about the hotel but it's a big one: I absolutely HATED the bathroom, and when I tried to switch rooms I was informed that they're the same in every room: No lock on the door combined with a transparent glass shower with a transparent glass door=no privacy. The shower was designed by an IDIOT who thought it was a good idea to have to enter the shower to turn it on, while getting blasted with freezing cold water for almost a minute until it finally heated up. Because of the utterly stupid nature of the design, no matter how the shower head was positioned, the shower door allowed the water to get all over the bathroom floor and I had to mop up a huge puddle with a washcloth after every person in my family took a shower. I have never in all my life seen such a poor bathroom design in any hotel I have ever stayed at. First thing in the morning every single day, the bathroom pissed me off and put me in a bad mood. I would NEVER have come to this hotel had I known how pathetically the bathrooms were designed. I would have preferred to save myself the aggravation and stay at a Motel 6, even if it wasn't almost half the price as this hotel.

I like the Maple Tree Inn overall. The constant fan sound is not great but not too loud to keep me awake - thank goodness I am a deep sleeper. I've stayed here MANY times and will be back.

Wonderful hotel

This is one of the best hotels. I love it because it has a hot tub that works, disability rooms and walk in showers. It has a full breakfast with many choses. I have to go to stanford for cardiolgy reasons every 6 weeks so the hotel is nice and convenient. I will always stay there.

The Maple Tree Inn is very comfortable, quiet and well maintained. The rooms are very nice, breakfast is great and it is very convenient for my business access so I make it a point to stay there when I need to be in the area.

Property and stay was great, bathroom doors are barn doors with gapes wasn’t a big fan. Due to you can hear everything coming from the bathroom. Great stay overall and they are updating doors to tap cards.
