We have been staying at this property frequently over the past 5 years (+/- 35 nights, +/-$7000). We have particularly enjoyed the layout of the Villas apartments.
However, our recent stay was not pleasant. When we checked in, we found the apartment to be dirty, with hair and crumbs present throughout and the living room rug heavily soiled. We were informed that no other Villa apartment was available for the full duration of our stay, so we agreed to downgrade to a Premium King room. The Premium King room was clean and nice.
In a departure from our previous stays, a hot breakfast was not offered during 3 of the 5 days that we were there.
Bottom line is that the quality of facilities and services appears to have gone downhill. To top it off, The Grand / Expedia have, to date, refused to reimburse us for the premium rate (approx $60/night) that we were charged for the Villas vs the Premium King room actually provided.
Very disappointing, particularly given our past patronage!!
