Grand old lady lost her luster…. The Taos la Fonda needs owner staff and perhaps investors to bring her back to life…. It’s little things… like unreliable splitting heating, no step down warnings from bathroom, dusty bathroom fan ventsz. But also unnecessary things like night desk blaring music throughout lobby ( into my room). A day desk staff that didn’t believe our no heat experience at first…. This is a grand old place that needs revival

My only complete is there were no local channels on their service. I asked the front desk, and he was really not sure and he thought maybe they didn't have but only cable channels.

I would never choose the La Fonda again in Taos. Room was very carefully cleaned but very shabby and the walls were paper thin. No amenities that enhanced my stay. Other than the first night at check-in, the staff I encountered unfriendly.
