This charming 3rd-floor condo is located on the Northern end of Tybee Island, near
the lighthouse and 1 mile from the Southern end where most shops and the
pier are located. You will love it!

Whispering Palms received a fresh coat of paint in 2024 as well as all new flooring. There is no longer any carpet in this unit. Whispering Palms has a fully equipped kitchen that is open to the living room and small dining area. There are lots of local restaurants, so no need to eat in! There is a king bed in the bedroom. Although these condos have less than 500 sq. ft., they have all you will need to enjoy your vacation.

This unit offers a TV in the living room and bedroom. The owners have also provided wifi so that you can stay connected during your vacation. We highly recommend unplugging and enjoying the beach!

The balcony is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail and watch the ships come and go. We are located in the Savannah River bay area at the junction of the Savannah River and the Atlantic Ocean, and the beach is only steps from the condo.

The Savannah Beach and Racquet Club has well-maintained grounds with a view of shrimp boats and commercial ships as they come and go from the port of Savannah. There are 2 tennis courts, a pickleball court, 2 beachside swimming pools, and BBQ grills. We are a 20-minute drive to historic Savannah and 1 hour and a half from Hilton Head, S.C. Beautiful sunsets and dolphin sightings are common.

A boardwalk from the pool deck leads you directly to the sand. The beach is wonderful for long walks, shelling, fishing, and bird watching. If you like to swim in the bay, you should know that there are no lifeguards on the North Beach. Please keep a close eye on the little ones!

This is a gated complex and there is parking for 1 vehicle per condo. Parking is strictly enforced. You will be issued 1 parking pass and it must be displayed on your dash during your stay. All unauthorized vehicles are subject to ticketing by SBRC management.

Nice Get-Away

This condo was perfect for our visit to Tybee! It was clean and comfortable and so close to the beach my partner and I were able to take a walk every evening. We would recommend this place to any future guests looking for a place to stay on Tybee Island!

Great place to relax at the beach

This unit was perfect for our mother/daughter trip. The units are small, but every inch of space is usable. There are useful nooks and shelves to store things. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools. The refrigerator does not have an ice maker, so if you need a lot of ice, bring a bag. The two ice trays were plenty for us and they freeze quickly. The central unit cools very well, and we were always as cool as we wanted to be. The beach is very easily accessed and the pool is right down the steps. This was the most crowded I’ve ever seen this area, and it was still not crowded at all. There was one small issue when we first arrived, but it was taken care of very quickly. The property manager was very quick to respond and to fix the issue. If in the area again, I would try to rent the same unit.

Good location, comfortable stay.

The property was very well maintained. It was family friendly, but wasn't loud with screaming kids everywhere. The unit was clean and attractively decorated. The bed was pretty comfortable, the bathroom clean with beach towels as well as bath towels. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. There was a toaster, an electric kettle and a blender in the cabinet above the fridge. The oven knob was missing the temperature markings, so if you intend to cook anything in the oven, be aware. The location was great. Not a whole lot of traffic, located in a residential neighborhood right on the Savannah River. There were people swimming, but I hesitated to swim only because I have heard it's not the cleanest river, although the beach was free of debris and garbage of any kind. The best part of the location? Dolphins!! Several excursion are included in the cost of the rental, but you don't need to do the dolphin tour to see them. Just go down to the beach at sunset and you will see many dolphins. You can even take kayaks out and paddle around and they will swim up to you. There is a pool. I didn't use it, but it was sparkling clean and several times a day I saw staff out attending to the pool area tidying up. If I come back to Tybee, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Awesome getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend together. It was clean, comfy bed, and great location. Everything we needed. We usually prefer to sit at the pool but sat on the beach all day to watch dolphins. We couldnt believe how many we saw jumping out of the water. Amazing! And the dolphin tour was awesome too. We would definitely stay here again.

First thing, Melba was the best communication contact we ever experienced traveling. Thank you so much for all of your prompt response. Unexpected issues come up when traveling, like, yes we thought we lost our key and in a panic, Melba took care of it immediately! We needed chairs and the current ones on balcony were broke, so Melba made sure we received 2 new chairs, again a big thanks. The rental was adorable, clean, cozy, tastefully decorated, great hot water and pressure, wonderful ocean view and bed was comfy. The highlight of our trip was seeing the dolphins every day. The unit does not have a washer or dryer, but each floor has a room for that. 2.00 for washer and 1.50 for dryer. It can get crowded and a little wait time to use them, but when we were there in busy July, the other tentant's were courteous and came and got their laundry as soon as it was done. The main roads in and out are very busy and the cops will write you a ticket. Please follow the speed limit to avoid one. Best breakfast on the island was Sunrise. Parking on the island is crazy. They have meters everywhere and you need to pay for parking to avoid a ticket. Some free parking is available but many. You will receive a key to get in and out of your rental by a gate for security. Always make sure you have your key with you. Savannah is about a 20 minute drive and Hilton Head SC is about 1 hour and 15 minute drive. We drove both to make our trip more fun! Melba will make your stay great!

The picture does not lie but it hard to see how big or how tiny it is in the picture. I guess it’s big enough, it’s was on the 3rd floor and elevator at the other end far away from the room. And did not know VRBO charged $103.00 service charge not happy about that.

We had a quiet, relaxing getaway even though it was the 4th of July weekend. The condo was quaintly decorated and included all the amenities listed. The property is removed enough from the hustle and bustle of Tybee without being too far from restaurants and stores. The pool was nice and they even had a cookout for the 4th. An unexpected touch which let us know they are guest-centric. The only downside is the stairs. They do have an elevator, however, it's a tad bit inconvenient to reach it. We will definitely stay again.

Loved the quiet end of Tybee Island. Beach was not crowded at all. Beautiful view from balcony with dolphin sightings every day, boats, and cargo ships. The unit was perfect size for my husband and me. The complex is very well-maintained. Had everything we needed for a great trip!

Last minute getaway

Ours was a last minute let’s pack a bag and go somewhere! My husband wanted to go to Tybee Island so I started looking for condo rentals.. We stayed at the Savannah Beach and Racquet Club. Staff and other guests were so friendly!! The island offered lots of different restaurants and the seafood was awesome!! We had a great time and definitely will return!!
