Breakfast buffet was very tasty- happy hour was a nice treat. Bbq wings and pizza was a nice extra treat. Front desk staff unfriendly but all other employees were exceptional.

Easy breezy stay

Fantastic, low-key spot within walking distance to the beach, downtown and plenty of restaurants. Flying into LAX is stressful enough, so our stay here was a breathe of fresh air, especially with how patient and accommodating the staff are. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet (no thin walls). Our overall stay was quite peaceful. I would recommend staying if there's space available.

Great location with a slight ocean view from the second floor. Conveniently located across from the pier and promenade. Next to the train tracks, but insulated enough that the trains did not wake me through the night. Great offerings of evening snacks and one of the best free hotel breakfasts I have had. Staff was friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay at again.

The rooms are clean and most of the staff are wonderful. It was exceptionally expensive for what is offered though. They've changed a lot of things for the worst and prices keep going up. It would be nice if they invested in some sound proofing to dampen some of the excessive noise from rude guests.

The Amanzi staff is great! Service was great. My room had a really overwhelming smell of mildew and ancient cigarette smoke. I know that the building has gone through upgrades and I’m hoping you just haven’t reached the 1st floor.

We loved the wide array of foods at breakfast (especially the homemade waffles, chilaquiles and salsa). Staff were very friendly, and hotel very clean. We’ve been staying at this hotel for years and the remodel was done wonderfully. We love that we can walk to the beach, park and many different restaurants in the area, and there’s plenty of parking for our larger vehicle.
