Great grounds, terrible hotel facilities and hotel itself badly in need of renovation. All effort is put in grounds and nothing else. Staff was actually rude at check in and manager was no better and actually told me it’s a 3 start property not 4 as advertised. Guest want better service not a coupon for a free cabana stay. Culture of rude guest interaction even in the dinning options. I will not return or recommend

I would not stay here. Great grounds poorly used. I would downgrade it to a 3 star property. Customer service is non existent. We ended up spending all of our time outside the facility. The staff does not understand hospitality and this is why I avoid Hilton properties. You go from pretentious and stuffy Waldorf Astoria to non existent staff with a culture of bad service. I will skip this property. It would have been gorgeous in its hey day but poorly maintained and dusty everywhere I couldn’t stop sneezing. Towels, sheets and bedding were so worn they were brownish and lack any iota of fluff. So disappointed. It put a damper on our Big Island stay. I booked the grounds! Never again

Room was guaranteed at 4pm. Not ready and we checked in at 1pm. Moved us to a different room which was poorly kept- dirty, dusty, blood stains on pillows. Never been used or cleaned. Asked for manager and moved us. Our entire 1st day was wasted. Staff is not kind and not accommodating. The large pools and lagoon is nice and well maintained. But the rooms are old and not worth it. Property needs to be updated. Need a breakfast spot that serves a la carte not just a buffet. The little coffee shop sold out of all pastries by 8am. Just not what I expected. Thought service would be great. Will not return. Going to continue staying at Marriott.

Very nice property:. Quiet and well maintained. Staff very helpful, even brought me extra bedding in the middle of the night. Loved the dolphins.Only downside is not a lot of food options in the evening.

I was disappointed nobody cleaned the room even after 4 days. I called and they promptly tried to clean it after 5pm which isn't OK. The many texts were nice but staff and texts do NOT match. Poor communication. Staff was nice and accommodating otherwise. The Ocean Tower could use a nice venue for drinks and music in the evenings.
