The room was newly remodeled. It was my first time going to Hawaii so i didn't know what to expect on the size of the hotel. As i checked in too the hotel i mentioned i have a hard time walk but i don't need to take up a handicap room from someone but to plz keep that in mind. The guy msm keep his face in the computer as of he was working hard to help me. Little did i know my room was placed in the middle of the resort. Mind you there is nothing there. I have to walk about 3/4 of a mile each way to get to a pool. For breakfast i have to walk about 1/2. Yes there is a tram that can talk you from one end to the other end but it's always going in the opposite direction or full. They have many shops to buy souvenirs but when you ask why they are always closed they state that they don't due to staff shortage. Other then all that the Hilton Waikoloa Village is beautiful place to stay and they have the sweetest breakfast staff and bar staff.

This is our third trip to Hilton Waikoloa. The first two stays were truly serene and felt like a real vacation, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this visit has been very different. We were placed in the Palace Tower, and from the moment we arrived, we have experienced non-stop construction every day from 8 AM to 6 PM. There are construction crews all around, loud noise throughout the day, and extensive metal scaffolding that we are required to walk under. It has been stressful and honestly quite unsafe—there were moments when we were worried something could fall on us. This experience does not resemble a relaxing vacation. It feels more like we walked into a construction zone. Most importantly, we were not informed during booking that the Palace Tower was under heavy renovation. Had we known, we would have made a different choice. Beautiful expansive hotel, multiple pools and areas to swim including a natural beach lagoon with sea turtles. 20 min to Kona, an hour to Hilo. Great location. Lots of things to do on the property and good restaraunts. Fun grassy areas and museum pieces and huge statues to explore all around the property. Visit Julie at the amazing breakfast buffet, she’ll make you an omelet you won’t forget!

Newly updated rooms but in a building that was undergoing renovation - workers were there morning till night and esthetically was a turn off- but you couldn’t really hear them. Someone accidentally called our room one morning at 7am and then our last day they ran a fire drill at 8am and again for a hour or so at 9am. Good AC. Bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were awful. Good linens. The resort is very large. There is a tram that runs constantly to ferry you between stops at the resort, but the wait for the tram can be 20 minutes or more almost every time - walking takes about 15 mins depending on building. Valet parking was well worth it (only $7 more per day than self park) and they were always very quick to get the car and you can text ahead - really good job. Food at the resort is very expensive, but that’s not a huge surprise - we picked up pizza one night and it was just fine. Resort is very close to nearby shops and restaurants and a full service grocery store and deli. Large ocean lagoon and beach at the resort great for families. All in all, good family resort but don’t think I would recommend for a couple.
