Perfect Getaway

We enjoyed our time there. Close enough to visit Boone for the day as well as Blowing Rock. Enjoyed the view. Felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Definitely agree with other reviews that the drive up to the house is better suited for an SUV. Would book again.

Instant Relaxation

Take the notes about the road to the home seriously. We were glad to have 4WD on a rainy evening. Consider it part of the adventure! Once we arrived and entered the door, we were greeted with so many wonderful welcoming touches. We felt so secluded with amazing views. The owners have responded to earlier reviews about needing more towels to enjoy the hot tub. Highly recommend this home! We loved our stay.

Perfect couples getaway. The view is even better than pictured and it’s only a couple minutes from downtown. My only concern would be the driveway up the the house, I would recommend 4wd. I would not want to drive a car up there.

Great Getaway

Beautiful views and perfect for a couples getaway. Weather was ugly one day so we enjoyed staying in and playing the games they had provided. Close to town, yet secluded.

It's ALL in the name

Sunset Vista has the most AMAZING ever changing view...never watched tv! Very clean, hot tub was great. Very Private! The road in is not maintained so some pot holes and erosion so be careful. However the driveway around Sunset Vista is paved. Our only critique is the limited bath towels ( one per quest). If you intend to use the hot tub you are required to shower first, using your bath towel. (There are 2 towels for hot tub use as well) And of course, after the hot tub use, you should again shower, however your bath towel is still wet from your previous shower! We ended up throwing towels in dryer & eventually having to wash them during our short 3 day stay. 2 towels per quest would be nice. Also there's no floor towel when stepping out of shower...we used the cloths as to not slip when exiting shower. A shower mat is available however it covers the drain which is not practical. Overall we loved the place and have already booked our next visit.

Amazing Views

This home was perfect for a quiet, week long getaway for two empty nesters. The views were amazing, the home had everything we needed, and our stay was perfection! After some bad rains, the home owner scraped the drive to make travel easier. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Amazing property!

This is such a great rental. The view is absolutely incredible, we never wanted to leave the house. It is secluded without being remote. The house was so modern and open, very comfortable. We definitely plan on coming back!

Good place to stay perfect for my fiancé and I. Property manager was prompt in replying and helpful, the house wasn’t cleaned well prior and she offered to remedy the situation quickly wasn’t a big deal it was mostly floors. Smelled faintly of old cigarette smoke but no smoking sign was in there. Could be older house but you can’t tell by looks. We enjoyed our stay overall. Great location to town, beautiful views and porch. Kitchen had everything except cooking utensils. A ton of dishes pans pots cups etc. the view again was priceless, we enjoyed waking up to peaceful mountains every day.
