Would do it differently

We planed a 4 night stay at this property to golf and see the dog races. If staying there for one night the hotel is fine otherwise plan to stay elsewhere and drive to the casino. The rooms lacked refrigerators and the beds were not comfortable. There were also no breakfast options. The employees though helpful and pleasant all had the worst looks on their faces. We never once came across an employee with a smiling face. The buffet was nice but not worth the cost and again the employees standing staring at you with terrible looks on their faces made it uninviting. Their nice restaurant had excellent food but a terrible environment. An employee was slamming plates and cups so loudly we couldn't hear each other speak. A 400lb man constantly did laps around the floor and he did no look professional. For the cost of this restaurant the environment should have been better. We definitely regretted our stay there and will never do it again. If we had stayed elsewhere and then visited the casino our trip would have been much much bettter.

I stay there occasionally for work during the week. TV’s are new, internet is fast, Beds are comfortable, Blackout shades work well, rooms are clean, AC/Heat work extremely well. If you like to gamble, there’s a casino with $10 minimum BJ tables that always have open seats. Food court stays open late and has some ok options with the pizza being my favorite choice. I would stay away from the cheese steak tho. I wish they would add microwaves or mini fridges, and some of the shower heads need to be replaced. Other than that, everything is super solid. Great quality for the price.

You would think if you reserved a king deluxe room, You would have a mini fridge for drinks or to keep left overs cold ..And your tub drain for a bath would be in the tub ..and drained correctly when your have to shower,and not have two inches water in it while showering and the exhaust fan should be running too..and a microwave would have been nice to have .

Never Returning

Upon entering the room, there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke even though this was a non smoking room. The toilet handle stuck each time, and the sink collected water when I used it. Overall the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. My ID was expired and security would not let me join friends in the restaurant, which was about 20 steps away. I’m not a gambler so other than that, it didn’t really affect me…I think they need to rethink this , and maybe they would do more business. There were hardly any people there. I’m sure they make $$$ hand over foot on those who are regulars though. Overall, the staff was not very friendly , and I was not thanked upon checking out. Downtown Wheeling was quaint & we ended up at Jack & Ella’s instead which was quite delicious! This is my honest review.
