The staff was very welcoming and let me check in early. I also needed a few other things and the front desk helped out. The grounds were nice with flowers and lush grass. The room was very noisy. You could hear people above stomping/ walking around all hours. Didn’t get much sleep. You could hear people talking in the hallways. The room was older all the facilities had an old, musty smell. This place needs a makeover. Would be a beautiful place again if updated.

Mediocre at best and poor service

Disappointed with this hotel. The hotel was tatty to me and the room was the same and felt damp. All our clothes felt damp after being in the room for 2 days. The shower head was loose on the wall and overall tired. For the price paid I feel really disappointed. When booked I didn’t notice we were charged extra to have kids in the room with us which is disgraceful given it’s room only, no breakfast so why an extra charge? My kids didn’t end up staying so wanted this refunding but after waiting 10 minutes for a manager at the desk I had to leave as I was running late for the airport which is again fisappointing. Overall very poor

Room 406 as a fantastic sunset view! The staff is terrific. The pool was divine. We wish we could’ve stayed for breakfast, but had to get the train early to work. Can’t wait to come back! And what great history. What property!

Beautiful property, the staff was wonderful, and my kids had a blast. However, the rooms were not the cleanest and had an odd odor. Also, it was very difficult to find parking during the evening hours.

The Tarrytown House is really a pair of joined mansions with wide grounds and really interesting buildings. We only stayed overnight but wish we had had more time to explore the hotel's buildings and ground. Other guests told us it was their ideal location to stay when they came to NYC. The train is a short distance away.
