We had a stay. The staff was very polite and nice, the breakfast in the morning was just enough for a family of 5 (3 kids ages 9-15) and the room was very clean and a great space for our family. We had gotten a suite because we needed the extra bed but my parents had a 2 queen bed room and also had a great experience.

Breakfast was not all that good from past experience with Hampton Inn. Although the lady that worked, the breakfast was delightful. As for the rest of the staff, they weren't very friendly. They didn't even speak to us. The gentleman when we checked in was very nice and when we checked out, she was friendly, but all in all it was not the kind of stay at Hampton Inn that we are used to.

We stayed here many times over the years. Were surprised to see room the room was sparse and very cold looking. Mattresses and pillows were horrible. Very uncomfortable. Mattress cover on one bed was ripped and hanging out. Very disappointed.

We did not have hot water for the two days that we were there. I reported it the first day. The clerk said that a lot of people had taken showers. There was no hot water at 6 am either day. There was hot water in the afternoon of the first day after maintenance came in theory but then the water was cold again the next morning. We have never stayed at a motel that didn’t have hot water. Maid service only every other day was not pleasant either. Breakfast was fine. Facility was clean.

Overall the property is OK. The asset could use some TLC and if cleanliness is next to godliness then we need some work in this area across the entire asset. Another turnoff is the fact it takes ~ 10 minutes for the water to get hot in the shower and occasionally goes from hot to freezing in a flash. A few of the staff members were very engaging then there were a couple that just seemed to be oblivious to guest. I’d give the stay experience 1.5 to 2 stars at best. The only plus was how close the hotel was to Colonial Williamsburg.
