We booked this hotel due to the ability to use the indoor pool and breakfast. Upon arrival, we noticed that the lobby was very cold and the staff member at the desk was wearing a winter coat/attire and using a space heater to stay warm. We were assured that it was just because of the lobby door and that the rooms would be warm. We turned the heat in our room to the highest setting and it never got warm. The refrigerator in our room also did not work. When we went to go to the pool, there was a sign on the door that said "pool close for winter season." The next morning when we went to breakfast, old food items were available as well as most machines/buffet serving stations had signs that said "out of order" and there were not options to eat.

Check in was easy and the front desk clerk was very nice. Upon arrival there was a note posted saying the indoor pool was closed. The next morning I got up for breakfast. The previous reviews about the breakfast one of the main reasons I choose that hotel, only to be disappointed. The milk machine and juice machine was out of order. They did not have a substitute like bottled water or something else. Breakfast with no drinks is just diabolical. Then there was a small amount of eggs that looked like they had been sitting around for awhile and some dried up burnt sausage. For the reviews do say there was plenty of variety I didn’t see it. The room was of decent size but we had a fridge that would not cool and the tub was very slippery with some kind of film or buildup. I would recommend putting something down on the floor of the tub so a guest don’t bust their tails in the shower. I loved the shampoo and conditioner offered. The beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby. All in all it was a decent stay just needs some minor tweaks. Especially worn the breakfast issues without offering a drink.

The reason for my choosing this hotel was the EV charging One of the four chargers has been faulted for over 6 months now. When I stayed this time, two chargers were being used, but the one driver was parked, blocking access to the third station. I went to the front desk, but they had no record of who owned the plug-in short-range Toyota, icing out the charger I needed. I only had 10 miles left. I asked the owner /manager to consider calling the installer to replace this unit or contact me, and I'll gladly work out services for restoring the use. I'm a licensed and insured state master electrician and EV charging specialist with 15 years of Tesla/charging installation and service experience

Stayed two nights on the first floor and housekeeping never came to the room. We literally ran out of toilet paper. However, the front desk was great and even got us another pillow when we asked. Breakfast was okay - standard for hotels, and the coffee machine was an added bonus for me. Bed was comfy, shower was fine. It says there’s a policy for no noise after 10 pm, but children were running and stomping from 10-midnight (blame the parents) above us and nobody enforced the policy. Also, a train runs at various times right outside the windows. Earplugs will help with both situations. There are some great restaurants and cute shops within walking distance, and it’s close to historic Williamsburg.
