I was there for the night so I could attend a conference nearby early the next morning. All I needed was a comfortable bed and enough quiet to get some rest. Instead I heard some idiot yelling and banging on doors a few doors down at 5 in the morning and detected the faint smell of marijuana in my bed.

So the price was very low, and I get you get what you pay for. I didn’t mind that every hallway smells like weed and cigarettes. Nor the sign that said $250 fine if we partook in weed or cigarettes. The noise was whatever. The lack of coffee at free breakfast was whatever. That the floorboards were peeling off the hallway floor and elevator and that total number of them varied by evening did not bother us. But they refused to change our sheets for an entire week. I asked and they said they would send someone. They didn’t. I asked the housekeeping lady, she basically told me to go to hell. I politely reminded her that I thought I was already there. If you want to save a buck, you may still enjoy it. Just know what you’re getting into.

Honestly, as soon as I saw the cheap vinyl flooring all over the hallways, elevator, etc- much of which was mended with duct tape, I knew I'd made a mistake. There was a pile of trash in the hall that we saw at 3pm and by 8am checkout the next day it was still there. There were cigarette butts everywhere outside. Every surface seemed to be dirty- light switches, the tub, the sink, you name it. Floor lamp didn't even have a BULB in it! I'm not a clean freak, but it looks as though management is spending as little as possible on upkeep and ignoring a LOT of dirt. Ice machine didn't work, and frankly, there was an overall smell of mildew throughout the place, including our room. I didn't expect a palace for what I paid, but I have to wonder if Quality Inns corporate management has ever done an inspection of this place. Really shabby and ill kept- I do NOT recommend this motel.
