We love coming here every year for the Hot Air Balloons...it's a beautiful amazing place to stay. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. May cost a bit more, but it's worth every penny!!

We stayed at the Patterson Lake cabins. The cabins were clean, but a bit run down. Shuting the fireplace off would leave the cabin smelling of natural gas for an hour. There weren’t many people there when we stayed, so I don’t fault them for the limited menu. But when we ordered wine, it was delivered unopened with no wine glasses. I’m sure the staff is new, but, I mean no uncork? But we had a great time. Beautiful area.

We have been here a few times in different seasons and enjoyed each visit with its own appeal. Winter is our favorite time, with excellent cross country and snowshoe trails well groomed and of differing terrain. The jetted tub in Mt Robinson room with lovely and private view over snowy landscape and ambience of gas fireplace in the corner made for a relaxing and needed respite. Dining service and well prepared delicious meals with local emphasis were greatly appreciated. Thursdays in winter bring in many young hockey players and their families for local games, so it was lively and busy for a day, with a nice camaraderie in public areas. This is the best place to stay in Wintrop. I love Sun Mountain Lodge. The skiing is awesome, food is fantastic and lodging is superb. WIll make this a tradition each year!
