Not so great

The hotel was a bit disappointing. The room was small, no stand for suitcase, no desk. The bathroom didn't have any counter space. Its fine for the experience of staying in a castle, but not great. Also, no breakfast. Not much in area either.

Definitely lots to like: spacious rooms, comfortable bed, great shower and towels, noise-free ac units. The WiFi reception was terrible - exceptionally slow, which was a real inconvenience. The hotel is a bit out of the way with limited spaces in the parking lot. Lighting in the rooms wasn't the greatest.

Very unique venue-loved the castle theme, and the rooms were very comfortable. Snacks, water and coffee provided in room. This was a fun place to just wander around inside, taking in all the artwork and castle decor. It was very quiet as well. We were barely aware of other guests during our stay.

Amsterdam, NY Armory Renovated as a hotel

Very cool place! Its an old NY state Armory that looks like a castle and renovated as a hotel. A bargain for the price.

Really cool place! I would love to come back when we have more time to spend. I didn’t get to check out anything besides the lobby and my room but there’s definitely more to enjoy in your stay.

An awesome unplanned place to stay

Due to a problem with another Inn, we found this place for the night as we were driving. It was a great surprise and so glad we found it! Besides the look of a castle on the outside it continued to look like one on the inside. Everywhere you looked there was something awesome to see and our room was great too. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed one night at the castle while on our way up to Montreal. This place blew us away with its uniqueness and extreme cleanliness. Our kids were so happy to walk into a castle with such an amazing presentation. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The staff were so friendly. The outside was equally beautiful with views of the surrounding hills and town. We would most definitely return if given the opportunity.
