We asked for the room to be cleaned, some fresh glasses, towels etc this was just dumped in the room on the 3rd day for us to sort ourselves, tv was temperamental, shower was terrible, bar area really unclean room was small and bed pushed against the wall not as spacious as the pictures suggest, generally the hotel was ok and in a good area.

I stayed at the Eden Hotel in June 2024. The staff was friendly, helpful, and not obtrusive. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The lobby was calm, stylish, and welcoming. This hotel is good for thoughtful tourists. Thankfully, it did not seem to cater to large gangs of drunk young people. The location was perfect for accessing the major tourist destinations, including Dam square, Rembrandtplein square, Amsterdam Centraal train station, Jordaan, museum district, De Pijp. We mostly walked to these places, but occasionally used the tram stop at Rembrandtplein square, which is conveniently close to the hotel. The tram is a good option for travel between the Eden and Amsterdam Centraal. I stayed in a double room on the third floor with a fantastic view of the Singel. The room had complementary espresso coffee (very nice) and still water (glass bottle). The bed was comfortable. By American hotel standards, the room was not large, but it was fine for staying in Amsterdam, because we spent most of our time exploring the city. Before our stay, I was a little concerned about the noise level at night, but it was fine and I slept well. My only suggestion - not a complaint - is that it would have been nice to swing open the window. The window had a horizontal hinge at the top that allows one to crack open the bottom by only a few inches. Nevertheless, that opening provided a nice breeze and pleasant sounds of canal life below. I did not have breakfast.

My husband and I loved this hotel. We had a love surprise of gift and balloons in our room to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff went out of his way to make my husband who is diary intolerant the best 'his words' hot chocolate.

Booked a single room which I felt would be tiny while booking, but it actually turned out just fine once I got there for a solo traveler. The staff is very polite, always smiling and helpful. Clean property, walkable, great view the second you step out. But what really took the cherry on the cake for me personally was how GREAT my room smelled every single day despite the fact that I did not opt for housekeeping the 3 nights I was there. Hotel carpets typically start giving a peculiar smell in the corridors and the rooms, but I felt like entering a flowery cave every time I stepped in. Gave me a true spa feeling right in my room with no extra effort! If that matters to you :)
